“I came across Pachamama on Instagram, looked at their page and decided I had to try it out. The pictures online were great, but they barely do this place justice. I truly had a 5 star meal in the most unexpecting place. In a single standing building on Madison Ave. stands Pachamama Kitchen and Garden, a Spanish style tapas restaurant. The inside is super quaint, only holding maybe 12 or so tables. My dad and I were immediately greeted by Will, who would be our server and bartender. This place really feels like a labor of love, operated by two partners who have a love for cooking and fusing together their cultural cuisines. The decor is simple, clean, and cozy and there was great Samba music quietly playing. I started with the hibiscus margarita, which was only $8 during happy hour. Although it was a little sweeter than I would have liked, the drink was tasty and refreshing.. The menu is on chalk boards above the bar. I pulled it up on my phone and was handed the specials, also on mini chalkboards. The menu isn't big. There's maybe 10 or so items on it, but everything we tried was excellent. Everything is made for sharing, so my dad and I got 3 tapas, which I thought wouldn't be enough initially, but it certainly was. We tried the prosciutto deviled eggs, choripan sliders, and the steak chimichurri flatbread. The bread on the sliders was toasted but soft and the lemon basil aoili was absolutely delicious. The steak chimichurri was delightful. It comes with a ton of pomme frites on top of the flatbread, which were perfectly fried, well seasoned, and are a dish on their own. The chimichurri sauce was fresh and light and the steak was just right for this flatbread. It was cut super thin and cooked so soft that you could easily take a bite of the whole flatbread without having to stop and chew steak. The unexpected star of the meal was definitely the apple, dulce de leche cheesecake we had for dessert. Will was so kind as to tell us a little bit about how the dulce de leche is made (8) hours and I can definitely say that the chef really put his foot into that sauce! It was creamy, yet thick and mixed with an apple compote on top of a NY style baked cheesecake. We were stuffed, but couldn't put our forks down. Overall, it was a really great experience. This is the type of place I'd love to return to in a few months not only to try out more dishes, but to check out their specials. It seems like the chef has a great time coming up with new interesting dishes.“

“We had a birthday dinner here tonight and Alina was SO awesome. We had a large group and she was wildly accommodating, super friendly, and very patient as we were a bit of a rambunctious crew. Absolutely love Barroco and would recommend anyone - single, date night, group party come here ??Dietary restrictions: We had a few vegans in our group and all were able to find options in addition to us sharing plenty of appetizers. “The food was amazing, as was the atmosphere, but the cook is also the waiter and everything. You have to be willing to wait forever for your food, have the wrong food to you, and maybe get forgotten. There was another guy helping him out, but I was told that was not normal, and the young male disappeared shortly after taking our order and never came back.I was told by the friend who invited us that "the old cowboy" is usually the only employee, and there's only one customer. Tonight, he had a stream of customers and ran out of supplies. We didn't get our third drink for quite awhile. He brought the wrong food to the table next to us. We waited 2 hours for our food and he brought us an extra taco. I assumed it belonged to a different table and suggested as much. I said we'd accept it if it didn't belong to a different table. He left it with us.It was all absolutely delicious, but it was $45 for four tacos -- one of which we didn't order, 2 pieces of delicious Key lime pie, one $2 bottle of water, 2 $3 bottles of Jarritos, and he tried to charge us for chips and guac that we neither ordered nor received. My husband absolutely refuses to go again, but we had a good time chatting with our friend and the food and atmosphere were wonderful. I'd go again. Just don't expect professional service. And make sure you bring cash.Parking: There were a number of free spots available when we arrived, though I don't know if that's always true. Some of the other parking spots had parking meters.“

“The food is always good here. But today it took a little while even though there wasn't anyone in front of me. I guess they had a lot of door dash orders.Vegetarian options: I typically will get a Quesadilla with fajita pepper's, black beans, Guacamole, cheese, and lots of cilantro and Pico“
