They were very apologetic and offered substitutes. I couldn't ask for better service. The rest of the food was so good. We will definitely go again.“

“We don't recommend Lino's because their customer service isn't there. When customers come in and sit down they should be acknowledged. My husband and I read about Lino's being on the PD's list of one of the places that had the best wings. Well, we just left there about 8:30 after walking in, the lady bartender working tonight and I made eye contact, we sat down and she didn't come to see if we wanted to order. We sat for a few more minutes thinking she'd come over or perhaps another person was in the kitchen that would come take our order but that didn't happen so we left. Customer service isn't there at all. We headed over to Craggy"s Boglands Pub and the lady bartender greeted us right away and was very welcoming.“

I got the Seafood Bisque cup and a half Ruben sandwich. Both tasted great and waitress was spot on (there when we needed her and not there when we didn't need her). “While I’ve heard many speak of “The Standard” in Collinwood, I had never made it there until Thursday, when my “foodie” daughter, (@thingsivebeeneating), planned my surprise birthday dinner there for our big family.
The ambiance was so relaxing- dimly lit, sheers gently flowing between tables, a long beautiful bar, an open kitchen, and an outdoor garden patio area that truly felt like an oasis- you might forget you were in CLE on the eve of Halloween. It was lush, vibrant, and warm. The music that was piped throughout the restaurant, vacillated between “La Vie en Rose” and Frank’s “I Did It My Way”…truly transported you to a fine dining establishment in Paris. We were seated in front of the open kitchen. I don’t always enjoy this view, but the people in this kitchen seemed relaxed and happy to be there! While cooking, they seemed to have a camaraderie going- lots of smiles, and zero sense of being harried. (I noticed when a couple came in for dinner on the later side toward kitchen- closing, the staff there visually appeared welcoming nonetheless.)
Our group shared several bottles of wine, tried the innovative cocktails, and also the old tried and trues. We loved our server, Nicole. She was knowledgeable, welcoming, and fun! She quickly delivered the complimentary, freshly baked rolls with a trio of tapenade, olives, and oil/balsamic. My daughter warned us to come hungry, as we’d be wanting to try several apps. We had frog’s legs, crab croquettes, tuna tartare, French onion gratiné, beet carpaccio, and escargot. Other seldom seen items such as quail, foie gras, bone marrow, Moroccan lamb sausages, etc. were also available. We took SO long to decide on our entrees- they ALL sounded magical. We had aromatic, Fez chicken (complete with tagine) served with Moroccan couscous, Dover sole, pistachio encrusted rack of lamb, Chef/Owner Said’s bountiful paella, 24-hour braised short rib, and an epic “bowl” of pasta bolognese. My daughter prearranged a brought in cake, so we didn’t try the desserts, but Said amped our finale with a round of fancy nut-and-chocolate-encrusted coffee concocted liqueur shots! (Insert chef’s kiss!) This dinner celebration was nothing less than over the top! We had a fantastic evening! It almost (but not quite) makes me anxious to age, just to celebrate there again!“

“Haven’t been to JT’s Diner for about two years. Thought we’d give it a try as we remembered it being good at their previous location. We were very disappointed in our breakfasts. My crisp bacon was burnt to a crisp with burnt taste upon first bite. Our home fries used to be excellent “sliced” potato’s, but yesterday came as mush and the scrambled eggs were not even cut….just folded like an omelet. Coffee was good and hot, as in the past. For $20.53 I expected better. Don’t think I would return.“

“We had the best day watching The Buckeyes at The Wild Goose! One of our sons lives in Willoughby & the other son & his wife live in Shaker Heights. Fav spot for our kids but our first time. “Yesterday was a Sunday, I worked all day. On top of it, my Jeep had a flat and it was late on a Sunday so no shops were open. I hadn't had the chance to go grocery shopping because I worked overtime last week because its Birthday Season/Holiday Season. So decided to doordash dinner because i was starving. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with Mayo on it. First there was no bacon. How do you forget to put bacon on a bacon cheeseburger? The burger was blackened burnt.Then there was no Mayo on it, and usually that wouldn't bother me cuz it's a condiment that is usually in most people's fridges, except mine, because I hadn't gone grocery shopping. I can't eat a dry burger. Needless to say I went to bed hungry last night. May I add I work in healthcare and we're in an active covid outbreak. I was so exhausted and work has been so stressful, that this whole ordeal literally made me cry tears. I felt defeated and I was looking forward to chowing down that burger. The most upsetting part was how much my food cost, and the prices are hiked on doordash. I can't wrap my head around how careless the cook obviously was.“

I would pick up tons of orders from this place, and it ALWAYS smelled amazing inside. 4 years later, I finally went to Choolaah for the first time for me! I took my boy, and we checked it out. Choolaah is an experience. It's Indonesian fast food. Which means it has a spicy component, but also a fresher, healthier side. I would say cost wise it's definitely more expensive than McD or Wendy's, but the food is MUCH healthier. You are paying for that fresh, wholesome food. They make their own bread fresh right in front of you using these huge fired kilns behind a wall of glass. They cook their meats in these kilns as well. While you can get your food without a lot of spice, the options to really spice it up are phenomenal. And remember, the addition of some spices to food helps ramp up your metabolism, which in turn helps burn body fat.
