“Visited about 2 weeks ago for the first time at this location. The food was quality, the persons were great, and the employees were very nice not only to us but to each other. The music they were playing seemed different from other locations which I found extremely refreshing, as well as the look of the restaurant. We went in the early afternoon so I cannot attest to what others are saying about being out of ingredients, but this one is in the heart of a very busy road and shopping center so they’re bound to run out of ingredients eventually. It’s not something I would fault them for, especially if they let you know ahead of ordering.“

“We came to Barroco's on Larchmere for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. We live an hour away and regularly try new and interesting places. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and a creative menu of food and cocktails. Our server, Brianna P, took amazing care of us with recommendations that were on-point! “You know that scene in Ratatouille where the food critic was transported to his childhood from the food that happened to me here. The tacos tijuana with carne asada brought me back to when I was a kid sharing a botana platter with friends after church in the little hole in the wall restaurant down the street. I've never had carne asada like that since, and now I've found it. The holy grail Taco. The one Taco to rule them all. The macguffin of my life. I've found on my 40th birthday a taco that was and shall be my simple yet amazing friend. Don't get me wrong, I love Condado, Momocho, and lesser but still love for Barrio. However, they were usurped in my heart by the new number 1 authentic Mexican in my humble opinion. I love food, and for the first time in a long while, I felt that love was reciprocated. Don't miss this hidden gem. You won't regret it!“

“The prices are the same as most other Mexican-themed restaurants, maybe a little bit cheaper. Serving portions are good sized. 1 plate can definitely feed two people. Food is very tasty, margaritas are excellent. Service was absolutely phenomenal!“

“Dinner was incredible and reasonable. I got the Los Arcos fajitas. It comes in a pineapple with shrimp, chicken and steak. I couldn't finish it. Nicholas got their green enchiladas. Service was wonderful. I think we found our new favorite spot.“

I was not at all expecting to have a steak this good. I can normally pick apart a steak but literally nothing on the plate was anything short of perfect. The potatoes were next level.

“The grocery store has authentic Latin American products that I could not find anywhere else in the area. Ordered steak plate from restaurant and it was also authentic and delicious. Real Latinx flavors. Highly recommend. El supermercado tiene productos Latinoamericanos que no pude encontrar en el area (totopos El Milagro, queso panela, paletas, pupusas, etc). Ordenamos una carne asada del restaurant y aliño estuvo delicioso.“
