Muddy Misers Restaurant Reviews
We went to Muddy Misers for the first time last night upon recommendation from a friend....and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a quaint neighborhood atmosphere with an upscale menu. We love the fact that it's Veteran owned/family operated, and the tributes to Zane Grey are a particularly nice touch. The food was amazing and Tara Clark provided us with excellent service. We will absolutely be back, and looking forward to some patio time this spring/summer. Keep doing...read full review
Spent the day in Zanesville seeing the sights and stopped in for lunch. The food was very good as was the service. Kudos to our waitress Tara Clark who recommended an excellent local craft beer to go with my craw tail po' boy. My wife also enjoyed her fried cod with slaw and clam chowder; the slaw tasted homemade with a little kick to it.
Stumbled across this local eatery while doing the Bobcat Brewery Trail. Wonderful fresh fish and steak entrees. Full bar, nice view of the river, attentive staff! The restaurant is named after a gentleman of influence in young Zane Grey’s life and the decor inside reflects on Zane’s life experiences. Highly recommend! Erica was a wonderful waitress 🥰

The restaurant is known for its generous portions, with fish and chips being a popular choice. The Crawl Tails appetizer is also a hit, though it has a slight spice. Guests enjoy the friendly, attentive, and fast service, making them feel welcome and valued. The menu features a great selection of drinks, including a tasty Manhattan and a unique Mango Wheat beer. The 3-Way Burger is highly recommended, and the peanut butter pie makes a perfect dessert to end the meal. The restaurant has a historic feel, located inside an over 100-year-old building with walls filled with history. Its patio offers beautiful views of the Muskingum River and surrounding nature, including trains crossing over the river. The outdoor seating area is well-liked, especially on nice days or rainy nights.
