“These people had so much food on the plate that I ate twice off of one plate. It was phenomenal if you want some good old down home cooking you better go check this place out and bring your appetite cause you’re gonna need it. I ate the fried taters and sausage with cheddar cheese and white gravy and a nice iced cold Dr Pepper my wife had pancakes and breakfast. She said it was phenomenal. Also like I said, if you want some really good food you should go down to this place and have a good old time.”

“It's a gas station subway. They were "out" of a lot of ingredients. The gentleman was very nice but looked like he was overwhelmed when a line formed. We wanted to pay separately for our meals, which we mentioned multiple times during the ordering process, but he still charged everything to one card. Other than that, it was very fast and easy to get in and out with our food.”

We used to stop at the Chicken Coop for takeout to eat at our cabin but it's closed most of the time when we want take out and even when it is open it's very slow these days. This place has good burgers and onion rings. I will give some of their other meals a try as well.”

A quick spin on the Will Rogers Tpk. working our way between and around the heavy truck traffic and the annoying drivers that think the left-hand lane is for cruising. Then taking highway 69 N. at the Big Cabin Exit for the relaxing final miles. On the road side the cows graze in the pastures and redtail hawks are perched on the fences looking for breakfast.The Hi-Way Café is a quintessential Mother Road diner, decorated with iconic symbols of America’s past. A must stop for the photo op and good food. Their menu is big, covering a little of everything. This ain’t no Mexican restaurant, though. If you are a tourist stick with diner food: breakfast, a burger, something fried, or simply a cup of coffee and a big slice of fresh pie.For us a couple of eggs, crispy hash browns, crispy bacon, all cooked exactly as ordered. My wife added a big fluffy fresh biscuit with gravy and for me just the gravy. The gravy was instant; common. Very few diners make it from scratch. A few crumbles of country breakfast sausage for seasoning would have made it perfect. The coffee was good; our cups stayed full. Friendly service.Be sure to check out the car with all the stickers on it. Also, the old Jukebox. It is still filled with 45’s; song titles that only your grandparents would remember!”

“Stopped here on a road trip. Wait time was average. The sandwich artist was really good at building a sub. Both she and the cashier were amiable. Subs were top notch. Great flavors, just enough dressing, and they didn’t fall apart when you ate them. Would definitely stop again.”

If I had to put up with what they did tonight then I probably would of ended up in jail because the drunk guy working was ridiculous and definitely didn't belong anywhere in public that drunk... let alone at work... where your dealing with customers! You ladies deserve a raise and he should be fired. Between his belligerent mouth and trying to play his personal speaker with music that's really not appropriate for a fast food restaurant or his nearly falling every other step and refusing to go home after he was told at least 4 times to leave, I don't see how he ever got the job to begin with. I happened to be the only person in the store and it still took 33 min to get my (2) cravings boxes because they were having to deal with Ol Drunky. Good luck with all that Taco Bell you lost my business for a while.”
