“I love their steaks. Their loaded potatoes are the absolute best! But, they dont have a lot of choicesfor sides. Its broccoli or asparagus spears or loaded potato's. They also do not offer rolls?with dinner. That's usually a staple people love! So all in all, its good food, not a big selection. But prepared very well❣?and if you go inside, the atmosphere is lovely. Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loves it here. They have little computers at every table to keep the kids busy. “
“Since COVID they are more prepared for drive thru orders than inside orders. It took a couple minutes for someone to say “hi” to me inside but they got the order out fast after I paid. The order was almost entirely correct but I checked before I left to get my queso dip. Great deals and 20% discounts for vets at every taco bueno so always a good in my book!“
“I remember going there several years and they definitely went all out to provide me with service. If I didn't live so far away I would probably be going there regularly. This was right after they opened up for the day and I remember them all lined up to welcome just me.“
“Food was so delicious, the Mexican street corn side=? (not pictured, I got the borracho beans and they were also the bomb) and service was phenomenal! I will be making this a regular place now that I know how good it is. And everybody gets their own salsa!“
“Very Good Mexican Food in Jenks! You can argue all day long about Tex-Mex vs. Mexican. The distinction is becoming so blurred doesn’t make much difference. The way restaurants mix things up anymore, the difference between the two can depend on which side of the plate you are talking about. There is the discussion of yellow cheese vs. white cheese, corn vs. flour tortillas, and cumin, chili powder, and chili peppers vs. none. For me, I break it into spicy and hot vs. mildly seasoned (or very little seasoning). My experience is that the food in most restaurants that promote themselves as traditional Mexican tends to be mild to very lightly seasoned with little to no heat from chili peppers, and they use mostly white cheese. There is the exception! If the menu item ends with “diablo” or “diabla” it may not be spicy, but it should have some heat to it!For my one time visit to Campesinos, based on the food we had and looking at the menu, their food tends to be on the mild, lightly spiced side of the Mexican food argument. We had the Pollo Asado and the Enchiladas Surpremas. The Pollo Assado was a thin, lightly seasoned chicken breast covered with a cheese sauce, mushrooms, bell pepper slices, onions and tomatoes. It was a very fresh, tasty meal. I went for the Enchiladas Surpremas, because I wanted to try the flavors of the various meats they serve. It was five enchiladas, (cheese, bean, ground beef, shredded beef, and chicken). They can be ordered with red sauce or grated cheese on top. I went with the cheese, so it wouldn’t cover up the taste of the fillings in the enchiladas. All of the enchiladas were good. The bean and cheese enchiladas didn’t have any seasoning at all and the meats were lightly seasoned. Even though I prefer the spicy hot Mexican food, I have to give Campesinos credit for serving quality, good tasting food.It is a clean restaurant, the service is good, the food is mildly spiced, and it served up hot and fresh! If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there.“
“I used to eat at this restaurant when they were at a different location. They closed and relocated to their new spot. This was the first time eating at the new spot. I went during the late afternoon before the dinner rush and was pleasantly surprised to find that their lunch menu was still in effect. Since I looked at this as a new restaurant due to the location, I ordered my go to item for a new Mexican restaurant -- beef enchiladas with chili con carne. This came with an order of beans (I chose refried) and rice. In my opinion, everything was cooked perfectly. Throw in the fact that serve complimentary chips with salsa and queso before the meal and sopapillas after the meal, I can't imagine anyone leaving this place hungry. The service was good, but not exceptional. Overall, I will be returning. This is one of my favorite, if not my sole favorite, Mexican restaurant to eat at.“
“Food was good, the poor waitress was overwhelmed, the place was jam- packed with customers, with patrons wait in the lobby for a table. The decor was definitely different with metal artwork touching the ceiling and the partitions between the booths made of old wood windows. An enjoyable atmosphere for both young and old.“
“I came here for the first time a few days ago with my sister. The restaurant was very clean and had a good feel to it. Our waitress was phenomenal! She made sure we had everything we had, our drinks refilled at all times. We got our food quickly and it was hot and fresh! First time eating here and I will definitely be coming back! We got the enchiladas with beans and rice and it was good, wasn't top tier but it was good for what it was. The queso dip that we ordered with our chips was hands down the best queso I've had!“
“The food is sooooooo good! Try the fajitas. Try the enchiladas. Try the queso. Drink all the margs! This place is delicious! The atmosphere is lacking. They need to warm it up. But the service, food and drinks are great and it is VERY reasonably priced.“
“We love Abuelos, the 3 salsa's they bring are all fantastic. The food is always great, mixed drinks are very tasty, it's definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant. We've never gotten a bad meal in all the times we've eaten there.“
“Today myself and boyfriend stopped in for lunch and had the pleasure of being served by Vicki. She was incredibly nice, great customer service and took care of us very well. Its hard to continue to accommodate all of your customers as it was the busy lunch rush but she continued to check on us and saw her doing this with all the surrounding tables. Keep up the great work Vicki :)“
“Love this place! When I moved from Texas to Tulsa, I WAS spoiled by the variety of Tex-Mex in my Dallas area. El Chico & El Fenix were my " go-to" places! There were very few choices. So I was delighted. So, I have been an ElChico convert since. There was a Tex-Mex place named, Guadalajara and it was mom & pop owned, it was beyond awesome, too bad it was forced to close due to the owner's divorce. Great place!“
“Thank goodness for yet another blessing from God with this wonderful Mexican grill because there salsa and food was top of the line and i cannot believe how beautiful it is inside with an entire wall of roses between the restrooms with a bench and a full wall mirror on the adjacent wall ?.“
“We had my son's 19th birthday lunch here. We had 10 in our party. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were able to walk in and be seated! This was on a Sunday around 11:30. Our waiter was wonderful, drinks never went empty and our food came out very quickly. The food, of course, was delicious. Everyone walked away with a stuffed stomach and very happy! I highly recommend going to Abuelos anytime, but especially if you have a large group.“
“Great food. Great service. Love the salsa bar. This location is by far hands down the best taco Bueno in the area. They seem to actually know what they are doing and the foods always came out better here than any other location. Definitely recommend this placeParking: Planet of parking. Around 40 spots available“
“Love the food here. True authentic Mexican food. My wife and I eat here (to go) 1-3x per month because it's just so good. Definitely recommend checking them out. One small thing, is the restaurant is pretty small with few tables, but it's never been a problem.“
