“I have eaten at this Bueno off and on for thirty years so they get five stars on nostalgia alone. It is very consistent and reliable. Rarely a corrected order, rarely a long wait... I honestly can't remember the last time I had a bad experience here. Picking this particular Bueno isn't even a part of my thought process. If I'm in Tulsa and I want Tex-Mex I drive to this place on muscle memory. 100% reliable for me.“
“The Taco Bueno at 121st and Elm behind Walmart has redeemed my belief that they can make it great again...friendly staff, all you can tell care and a great manager who comped me a free burrito because they couldn't make another I wanted...worth the drive even at 9:30 on a Friday night. (They close at 10pm)Huge and stuffed full of what it should be at every one of em...whoever is managing this one needs to take over the rest and they would be great again all over.“
“We haven’t been to Taco Bueno the last few years except a couple of times out of state family wanted from living here before and it was ok. Today I went and ordered off the 3 for $6 menu and a Chilada Platter. It was fresh and hot, and very tasty like the Bueno of old. It was slow but had one car ahead of me and service was quick and friendly. Great job!“
“The only Mexican restaurant in Tulsa worth visiting.Clean and bright front of house that appeared newly renovated. The restroom was not terribly clean but better than average.Excellent menu, excellent service, excellent presentation, excellent quality.“
“Love the food here. True authentic Mexican food. My wife and I eat here (to go) 1-3x per month because it's just so good. Definitely recommend checking them out. One small thing, is the restaurant is pretty small with few tables, but it's never been a problem.“
“Food was good, the poor waitress was overwhelmed, the place was jam- packed with customers, with patrons wait in the lobby for a table. The decor was definitely different with metal artwork touching the ceiling and the partitions between the booths made of old wood windows. An enjoyable atmosphere for both young and old.“
“We go for lunch every once in a while. I get the chili verde, it's ok, mom gets the combo, she likes it,and my step dad get a shrimp on a banana leaf.a lot of shrimp.its consistent .i don't like their salsa( thats why the 4 stars), the service is alittle slow and hard to keep drinks filled. They kinda want to sit us in the back, when they see it's hard for my mom to walk.i get that it make be a server rotation thing, but the server could switch tables..“
“I used to eat at this restaurant when they were at a different location. They closed and relocated to their new spot. This was the first time eating at the new spot. I went during the late afternoon before the dinner rush and was pleasantly surprised to find that their lunch menu was still in effect. Since I looked at this as a new restaurant due to the location, I ordered my go to item for a new Mexican restaurant -- beef enchiladas with chili con carne. This came with an order of beans (I chose refried) and rice. In my opinion, everything was cooked perfectly. Throw in the fact that serve complimentary chips with salsa and queso before the meal and sopapillas after the meal, I can't imagine anyone leaving this place hungry. The service was good, but not exceptional. Overall, I will be returning. This is one of my favorite, if not my sole favorite, Mexican restaurant to eat at.“
