“20240315T1240 - Arrived at 12:40 and was able to order right away. I ordered the hot link sandwich as part of the Friday special, which includes your choice of regular sandwich, chips, and a 16 oz fountain drink for $9.99. I also ordered the Chicago style hot dog. The total was $14.72 and I had my order in about 8 minutes. Staff was very friendly, helpful. If you are paying with a card and wish to tip on it, you have to tell them before they run it. I ordered to-go, which will be important later. I got back to my company's breakroom with my meal. They do not skimp on portions!!! 1.5 hot links in the sandwich, sliced lengthwise and extending past the large hamburger bun. Slaw and BBQ sauce on top. However, I failed to account for drive time, and the sauces sogged up the bottom bun around the edges. I HATE soggy bread, but to my surprise the bun held up and didn't detract form the experience. The hotdog was also delicious. Inspired by Chicago style hotdogs, with a few substitutions, such as pepperoncini peppers for sport peppers, and poppyseeds on top for poppyseed bun. But it was still delicious and toppings almost overflowing the bun. All in all, my current favorite barbecue in Muskogee.”

“This was supposed to be a 5 star rating. I do apologize-I was trying to figure out how to correct it when I saw that somehow it registered as 1 star. I see now how I can do it & will correct now.I would give the food 4.5 if I could.The chicken livers and gizzards weren't super fresh-the livers ran out quickly and were not replenished while we were there.The gizzards were quite tough. I know that is pretty common for gizzards but it seemed that they all were that way.Nevertheless, good flavor and we were very pleased with our meal!! We enjoyed our visit and plan to come back-and bring others!My Dad REALLY likes coming here to eat the buffet!!! Thank you”

“So we were in Hillsdale (Muskogee) for a soccer tournament today so we tried Las Cazuelas! It was a little hard to see because the place isn't very well lit but it wasn't too busy tonight so we got seated quickly and got our food just as quickly. I ordered a "Monster Burrito" (mostly because it had the meat options I wanted) but I wasn't prepared...this thing really lives up to the name! It was literally as big as my forearm! It had chorizo, chicken, steak, and normally comes with shrimp but I substituted that for carnitas. WOW! One of the best burritos I've ever had. Granted I couldn't get through more than half of it (yummy lunch for tomorrow). My wife had a birria quesadilla and my daughter had chori enchiladas which were 3 different enchiladas with chorizo on top. Everyone loved what they ordered and we all left full as ticks! Service was good at the beginning but dropped off a little towards the end. Pricing was a little more than we pay at our local Mexican establishment but worth it. All in all a good experience and we will definitely be back!”

Unlike many small town OkieMex restaurants though, El Largo is a clean, noticeably well-maintained building, with excellent air conditioning. It is roomy and nicely decorated.The food is very good and priced to provide a good value in today’s economy. The service is fast and friendly. They have a bar.So, here is their deal. The combo menu has just about any Mexican food item you can think of, in as many combinations, that you can come up with. The best part of the deal is, a single meal is priced at $9.79. If you order two combo meals the total price for the two is $15.99. You save enough to make a good down payment on a big bowl of queso. That is what we did. El Lago seems to be very generous with the queso. If you order it on your food instead of red sauce you will be happy! My wife had a beef enchilada, beef burrito and a relleno. I had a beef taco, a beef enchilada, and a relleno. It you check the picture you can see that the restaurant was not stingy with the queso. All items were packed with beef! The taco, enchilada, and burrito were average. The rellenos had a very thin, fried, light batter coating over a very fresh poblano. filled with cheese. I liked it because it wasn’t a big pile of fried greasy breading.The salsa served with the chips were very good. Nice flavors and nice heat in the picante salsa. Excellent mixed with the queso or applied liberally on the food. This was an enjoyable meal.For 31 bucks plus a tip, we had two tasty meals, two soft drinks and queso.Being curious, I talked with “El jefe” on duty. I am seeing a pattern that many, many of the small-town Oklahoma based Mexican restaurants are actually chains. Sure enough! The cartel or syndicate of owners, operate El Largo and restaurants in Warner, Ft. “Whoever took our order for Amanda Skaggs and met us at the window a little after 9pm on Friday 5/12 is an amazing employee. If I had a business, I'd steal him from ya! It's not often you meet a young adult with that much gusto to be kind and curious these days. Now that I think about it, many of the Simple Simon's kids are that way. Great job! Oh yea....the pizza is good too! ?”

“Looks are deceiving. I passed this place many times thinking it was ran down because the place is original. Someone referred me to it and the food is very good. It's comfort food, granted and I don't recommend eating here daily as your waistline might require a new wardrobe. But the people are very friendly and what I ordered was reasonably priced and very good.”

“Took a suggestion from a coworker who used to live in Muskogee and he said he would come here when he was younger. This place did not disappoint!The waitresses were spot on and friendly. We were quickly seated and ordered our drinks. They were not much selections with regards to appetizers so I ordered fries & onion rings. The onion rings were great however, at $7.59 I'm not exactly sure of the price, but they were exactly what I wanted in an onion ring.I chose the Two Meat Combo, Turkey & Chopped Brisket w/Potato Salad & Cole Slaw. Both meats were delicious and the Cole Slaw was a true hit! The Potato Salad was also good.Everyone in the group liked what they got so a big shout out to Mahylon's for the excellent lunch.Even I was checking out thy the waitress days she had been working there for 27 years! Then she began to tell me dinner off the highlights on the menu. I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try them. Who knows I may just take a day trip up to grab lunch week my wife!My recommendation is if you are in Muskogee or just passing through and love barbecue this is a must try!!!”

“Stopped in at 10:33 last night with several family members had a large group. Young chap named Loren took our order . Treated us like gold even though it was close to closing time . When we finished our order his kindness was a true blessing! And he done great on our order. Building was clean . Highly recommend this Subway !!!! 10 star plus some !!!”
