After watching a review of the different onion burger joints in El Reno, my wife and I decided to try Roberts. We were not disappointed, the place is limited on seating, which adds to the experience. The onion burger exactly what I expected, thin patty of beef loaded with onions, the fries were freshly cooked. If real hungry, I would suggest ordering a double. The staff is very friendly. The best part is the old school experience of setting at the bar watching the food being cooked.
I have eaten here on numerous occasions. I used to have a job driving around Oklahoma and northern Texas repairing equipment. If El Reno was on my route I would plan to swing by and eat there. My favorites were the onion burger and with some frequency the chilidog. Always had a half order of fries to compliment my meal. Their French Fries are always hot and always fresh! Unless you have a helper to share or a hollow leg I suggest the "half order" of fries. A whole order...
They are the real deal for your nostalgic diner experience. Roberts grill has the best burgers and coneys. I'm a fan of the slaw on top of the chili coney. They have my vote. Do they have yours?
