Best coney’s on this earth. I have grown up eating at Johnnie’s. My mother was raised in El Reno. Eat at Johnie’s every time I come to Oklahoma.
As a disabled Vet I was greeted with hostility at the door for having a service Dog. They then demanded my papers for the service dog. As I was pulling out the card, my wife stated hey you do know it is against the law to ask for papers? Then we were met by a man that is in the back and says well we can refuse to right to serve anybody even if you have papers so we don’t care. Clearly this is an issue 7 years ago there was a complaint made to the ADA against this business...read full review

Based on the reviews, Johnnie's Grill is an outstanding burger joint right off historic Route 66 in El Reno, OK. It serves the world’s best onion-fried burgers and the best onion burger and coney dog. The milk shakes are amazing. It is an absolute must stop on the El Reno grilled onion burger tour. The diner vibes are good, and customers can see the famous onion burgers cooking on the grill. The tots are super crispy, and the fries and onion rings are good. The food is good, and the place is nice and clean. The staff are very friendly, cheerful, and attentive, and the service is super quick. Johnnie's is more comfortable and has way more seating than other places, making it a better bet for groups. It is very affordable and definitely worth the stop.
