“I'll be honest, I never knew this place existed until I was headed down to the Thunder Parade. I was looking for a place to park (which was a nightmare), and I saw a tent set up in the parking lot of Anthem Brewing Co. I rolled down my window and asked the guys in the tent if I could pay to park there. One of the guys said that it was fine if I parked in the grass and not to worry about paying. If I wanted to buy a water or a beer, that would be fine. I don't drink, and I had a water already, so I told them I'd figure something out to pay them back for thier kindness. They were all very nice and couldn't have been more welcoming and kind. I own a small business myself and 90% of our success is being kind and welcoming to all of our patients. It is the same with the folks at Anthem Brewing Co. I can't thank you guys enough for your small act of generosity that day. It made an already good morning that much better! Keep up the good work and positive vibes. It always comes back to you, one way or another.“

It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.“

They also had fun branded merch, including hats and even some items for kids (perfect for beer-loving parents looking for a souvenir). “Lively Beer Works has an awesome atmosphere and ended up being the perfect stop during our Fourth of July travels. We were visiting from out of town and appreciated that they were one of the few breweries open that day—it gave us a chance to relax and enjoy a drink while exploring OKC!

They have a solid variety of beer (my husband was especially impressed with the IPA selection), and I loved that they also offer unique options for non-beer drinkers. My brother and I tried the blue raspberry slush with a shot of sake—super fun and definitely not something you see every day at a brewery!

My young son had a great time too thanks to the wide selection of games available. It made for a laid-back, family-friendly vibe that we really appreciated.

We also loved checking out their merch—some really cool shirt designs, though we were a little bummed there weren’t many sizes in stock at the time. Still, we happily grabbed a sticker for our collection—the Cowboy Cold design is a great addition!

The green sauce has a good spice and if I had any complaint it is that the to-go cup is small because I could cover my whole meal with that sauce. I have not found a better tamale place in the area. I went there at 3:00 p.m. which I thought was kind of iffy, however after taking my order at the window I did wait a few minutes while they prepared my food. It came out hot and fresh, and I was so happy to find the food was great. The egg roll was as advertised, the sweet and sour chicken and the rice was hot and tasted great. Honestly, the best meal ever for under $8! Can't wait to go back...“

I have to mention the poached pear as it was absolutely a delight and is now my favorite food. The veal parmigiana was equally fantastic and the cheesecake was divine. I think we hit the jackpot with The Winston in Norman!! Everything on the menu sounded fantastic, but settled on the shrimp tacos and drunken ceviche, which were off the chart delicious! Our bartenders Jordan, along with Whitney (not Houston) set the tone for one of the best dinner dates we've had.
