Don't listen to the Karen's, this Shipleys is delicious!
Best donuts I had in a long time Service was amazing.
We are visiting from the upper Midwest, and wondered what Kolaches meant in Oklahoma, so we stopped into to Shipley's to see! Normally, they are a Bohemian or Balkan filled cookie. Here they are more like a filled dinner roll. The ones with sausage reminded us of bagel dogs, but a lot softer. But we also tried bear claws (filled with apple and cinnamon), crullers, filled donuts (Bavarian cream and cherry), and apple fritters. This location is now under new management, with Tean and her husband, who have trained in Houston and relocated to Norman to bring the store to the Houston Shipley standard. Tean is exceptionally kind and caring during each visit, and the store supports Veterans and Students with a discount on each purchase.
