My husband and I went a few days into the season for his birthday...we had the Thursday night special for 2 plus a bottle of champagne and other cold beers....the atmosphere was quiet but I loved it....we were able to enjoy it.. we had the best table in the place..on the finish line...the service was beyond great...with our wait person being so attentive and upbeat....but the star was the main guy...Clint...he went to great lengths to make it special and had a professional attitude...read full review
Great environment and the blackened salmon was excellent
We went for the Thursday night special - $35 for shared appetizer and dessert with two entrees. The entree options would good. The bar service was very slow, but I am sure some of that has to do with getting people to stay and bet. We did win on our first bet with the $5 vouchers!

Silks is a restaurant known for its $45 Thursday night deal and a two dine for $45 deal that included salads, chicken fried chicken, hamburger, and cherry cheesecake, all at a good price and with delicious food. The food is generally considered good and excellent, with some finding it awesome and very good. The wine selection is fine, though there have been issues with oddly sweet cocktails. The drink selection is generally enjoyed, with one guest noting the sweet tea was served the way it's supposed to be, sweet. The service and staff are friendly and helpful, with some guests planning to return because of previous good treatment. Visitors have shared mixed experiences. Some noted that the races at the track were canceled, leading to a less enjoyable visit, with food being so-so and multiple issues with order accuracy. The dry chicken on a chef salad was also mentioned, along with comments from the server about the kitchen being a “sh*t show” due to staff wanting to leave early. Despite these issues, some guests still plan to return. Others had a positive experience, praising the great time had at Silks, with the staff highlighted for their excellent service, friendly attitude, and going above and beyond to ensure a good experience. Seating was also noted to be comfortable and well-suited for groups. Overall, the atmosphere, views of the racetrack, and the excitement of watching horses contribute to the enjoyment of the dining experience at Silks. The staff were quick and talkative, and the prices were decent. The restaurant is a great, usually quieter place to watch the races. Service was good and food was good, and they were very accommodating despite technical difficulties canceling the races.
