Expectations are a funny thing. It's possible that the enthusiastic recommendation of a Ponca City local may have set expectations too high. They went even higher when we saw the fancier BBQ place that's literally next door - surely Danny's must be AMAZING to stay in business with so much nearby competition!Well, tastes are individual and local, so I wouldn't tell any Danny's fan that they're wrong. To us, it was just a good meal. But it was pretty cool to see how a place that looks fairly plain and small on the outside is big and nice on the inside.

Pretty much the worst I’ve had. Would have been better off going to Rib Crib next door. No smoke flavor. Dry brisket. The blackberry cobbler looked awful. Didn’t even bother tasting it. Would not recommend at all. Wish I could post a picture of the

I Have always loved Danny's BBQ, their food has always been cooked to perfection. I love the fact that I can get deviled eggs all year round ?. All employees are super friendly, restaurant is always clean.

Job well done. Pretty good barbecue, but doesn’t seem to be exactly the way that Head Country used to be. However, a good choice for home cooked BBQ.
I love me some Barbecue and it is really hard for me not to find some positive. But this place found a way. I did come in at the end of their evening. They close at 8 pm and I arrived at 7:30 pm. The looks I got from the staff were hilarious, they were cleaning up the seating area and drink station. You go to the line and order and they hand you a plate. Everything else is either under a warming light or in a small fridge. I had the sampler platter which had ribs, brisket, ham slices, and a hot link. I got Mac and Cheese, Cole slaw, and an apple crisp. The brisket was okay, no smoke ring; looked like a roast. The ham was pre-processed ham and that was it. The ribs were atrocious, overcooked and the exterior burned. I couldn't even finish the ribs, they were giving me a little heartburn. Hot link was dry and nothing special. Sides were meh. No drinks available except for the soda since the staff wanted to leave. Rib crib next door would probably give you better for the price point.

I traveled to Ponca City to do Magic for Heather Cannon Honda from Salt Lake City, I've had ribs and BBQ from all over and I'm here to say with their homemade habanero sauce the best ribs ive had.

Ordered sampler, tried to give me a end piece of rib I wouldn't give my dog, acted mad when I asked for better rib. Threw a hot link that was only about half the size of regular. Sorry for a $17 plate. Food was good, just seems like everyone is cutting down on portions and raising

Stood and waited for at least 5 to 8 minutes or more ...then realized the young man was in the dinning room talking to another customer... The food was good from what little portion we had ( wish the portions were bigger than a dixie cup) for the price we paid it wasn't worth it ...the bread was dried out ...other than that food was good!However for that price 40 some dollars was way toooo much for what we got ...and will not be going back ...which is a shame cause the food is very good!
