When played a little bit of pool with my husband for my birthday had a great time The place wasn't busy The atmosphere was great The place was clean I think the drinks could have been a little stronger but other than that it was good The people were very hopeful and nice thank you

Easy to get a table and just play! No need for bar activity.

Loved magoos till they got this new guy tha sits ant the bar annd Hawkeyes you and every time you walk up he ask you the same question as if you didn’t just answer it 10 mins ago. Our server never came and offered us anything to drink we had to go up the bar every single time. We’ve never had this problem ! The Tuesday crew is always the sweetest people ! Wednesday people needa do better

We go there often and I’ve always had a good experience. The price for a table is a cheap way to spend some time.
The staff are friendly and I’m always pretty happy.
However last night we played for an hour at 5-6 pm.
It was in the 30’s outside and it felt like it was only about 40 in the pool hall.
The waitress said they were working on the hvac system today so that could have been a maintenance issue. However, incase that wasn’t the problem, here’s my message.

raise your prices. I’ll gladly pay more if it means being comfortable.

good environment to play a lot of rounds for cheap, staff are nice for the most part but lord the drinks are EXPENSIVE😭
got charged about $70 for 2 beers and 4 single shot mixed drinks so if you wanna drink do it somewhere before shooting pool if you don’t wanna spend an arm and a leg…

Pretty nice place to play pool and not have to worry about anything.

Magoos used to be the spot to spend some time with my girlfriend and shoot some pool. We would come multiple times a week for the 2 years we’ve been dating. I never had an issue with bringing my own water jug because service could be kinda slow sometimes, and I’d have to wait over 30 mins for a glass of water. Up until August of 2025, I brought my jug as usual and before I could even get a table someone yelled at me from the bar that I couldn’t have my water in there. Tonight we went again and specifically requested a big table to play on, we were told there was a wait list and there were 3 people before us even though there were 2 big tables, and 6 small tables available. We took a seat and waited until our number was called. The older gentleman at the desk called us and said our table was ready, only to find out it was a small table. Once again I asked if we could get a big table and he pretty much said we get what we get unless we want to rejoin the waitlist and be put towards the end of the list… we should be able to choose what table we want to play on since we’re the ones paying. Anytime we came to Magoos we felt welcome and could always choose which table we wanted, that is until tonight.

We come every friday, and everyone is always so nice. Tonight the tall thin bartender was nasty. She ignored us at the bar and then walked off to go chat with someone and then when another busy bartender asked her to help us, she snapped “what do you want?!” Like we were bothering her. And then didnt say anything past that. It caught me so off guard that we almost just left. Now we want another drink but are going to go somewhere else for it.

Ros the Bartender had a nice rack, which is appropriate for a Pool Hall. She is very well developed. Showing off those Bartenders skills I mean of course. Her clean language over-friendly demeanor were real and genuine. Just like the obvious results of her bench pressing workouts.
