“I never really noticed this restaurant before but went with a group and hands-down my favorite! The batter for the sweet-and-sour chicken is like long John Silver batter… it was so good!“

“I've ordered from here several times and it has always been good. The veggies are fresh, the meat tastes good, and the soup is delicious. For what you pay here, you really get a lot of value. It won't be on par with a gormet Chinese restaurant but it is on par with Panda Express (probably a little better actually) and other takeout places like that and their prices are more competitive here. I would recommend giving them a shot. They do a good job providing a decent meal at a good price.“

“Literally some of the BEST food I’ve had!! I made a day trip from NWA to OKC to watch an opera at OU and find a good place to eat — I hit the lottery with this restaurant!!

Very flavorful and authentic! I ordered the LanZhou Spicy Noddle Soup with beef, the Panfried Colorful Dumplings, and the Boba Thai Tea. The noodles are hand-pulled, have a great texture and I’ve been dreaming about that broth. The dumplings were SO delicious and the BEST I’ve ever eaten!! I took half of them home so my husband could try and, even cold (4 hours later), he devoured them and talked about the flavors for the next 2 days! The Boba was super refreshing and sweet, the perfect end to the meal.

I have to add that the service from the entire staff on Sunday was also some of the best customer service i’ve had at any restaurant. The gentlemen with the cool glasses upfront was welcoming to every person that came through the door and very helpful. My server was super friendly, helpful, and attentive! The staff all seemed to work together cohesively and were all smiles :)

10/10 would drive 4 hours to eat here again! Thank you guys, I hope to be back!“

“We decided to stop in after a day of Lunar New Year fun and shopping and we are so glad we did! XLB were perfectly cooked w just enough soup - they even brought the vinegar and ginger for me! Shrimp dumplings in chili oil were surprisingly flavorful. We used the oil for the salt and pepper scallops, which had the best crunch! The braised pea green sprouts in broth rounded out the meal. They were still a little firm, which is how I love my Chinese greens, and the broth made for a perfect complement. Take the chance! It's delicious!“

I asked if they could lightly bread my sweet and sour chicken and she said yes and she delivered our food exactly as we wanted. She was attentive and always had a smile. “I haven't dined in, I've only ordered delivery but that does not stop me from ordering in a fairly regular basis. They have an American Chinese menu and a Chuan menu. I have no idea how the American menu tastes but if it's as good as the Chuan menu then you will be more than happy. They are the first OKC restaurant I've found that has scallion pancakes and their dumplings in chili sauce is ahhhhmazing!. EVERYTHING I've had is just so full of flavor on so many levels. HIGHLY recommend! I figured eventually I'll have to have their whole Chuan menu. ❤️❤️“

“Super cozy and quaint once you get inside, then there's the food which surprised me. Turned out to be much more of an original recipe than something like Great Wall or Panda Express, personally I prefer He Rui. They keep it quiet inside, take your order then you can sit at one of their seats, I found it calming. All in all, I recommend this place.“

I ordered the noodles and sesame chicken. You had a choice of an eggroll or drink. I chose the eggroll and also purchased a drink.

MASSIVE portion sizes and great prices. The crab rangoon and egg rolls were nice and crisp very decent in size.

I ordered sesame chicken with steamed rice legit enough food for two hungry adult. Rice was a touch dry but not the worst I've had.

“Golden Phoenix is without a shadow of a doubt the BEST Chinese food OKC has to offer, maybe Oklahoma. I highly recommend you give this place a try, it is the most hot and fresh, good ingredients and out of this world flavor. Only qualm Ive had with them is in the service department, sometimes I feel forgotten about when it comes to getting Togo boxes and checks ect. But I’m also white 😅 but if that’s the price I have to pay to eat this amazing food then so be it I have no problem being forgotten about with all this amazing hot and fresh tasting Chinese in front of me 🤤I’d give them 6 stars if it would let me. Also *EDIT* this is the only Chinese food I’ve had that’s good enough that I even love eating the food cold out of the fridge in middle of the night 😅 AND I’ve added this spot to my rotation and can’t go longer then a week or two without it. 10/10“

“THIS PLACE, is great. It’s fast, it’s fresh, it’s old school 20th century quick service American style. Everything is wok fried or crispy fried. It’s all made from to order. None of their crispy products are frozen. The shrimp was tender and butterflied (clean!). Egg rolls look too perfect to be hand rolled but it’s just evidence of mastery. They are the variety with crunchy cabbage, veg, and black pepper pork, perfection. 2 for $5?? I’m never stopping for a budget lunch at a drive thru or oncue again.

I’m in love at first bite. Good value. No frills dining room. Eat in or take away. This is the kind of place that you will find in towns along the I-44/Union Pacific corridor. They had NO problem throwing a big spoonful of chili into my food. I expected it to be paper and plastic 100% but they serve on porcelain w/ cutlery. That’s a huge bonus for this type of cuisine. It’s a dying breed of restaurant. I will be back!“

“I love this place! The food is always hot. The vegetables are always fresh and crispy. There is not too much breading, and the chicken is not chewy like some other chinese places. Also the crab rangoons taste homemade! I've gotten orange chicken, triple delight, general tsao's chicken, moo goo gai pan, and of course, sesame chicken. It has all been delicious! My favorite thing about this restaurant is that when you upgrade to fried rice, it actually has peas, carrots, and onion in it which is super important to me. Too many chinese places give you white rice put in a wok with a tiny bit of oil and soy sauce, and to me that is unacceptable. I love China House and now have my new go-to chinese restaurant for the area. Thank you for the great food!“

“We went on Christmas Day. They were packed but seated us fairly quickly actually. Food was amazing. Keep in mind this is family dining and the portions are enormous and meant to share. Very reasonably priced. Five entrees with appetizers and drinks was $100 and we definitely left with more in our to go boxes than we ate. Money well spent! As busy as they were, the staff were so so great and quick to refill drinks. 10/10 recommend!“

“I have ordered from here quite a few times and tonight the food was exceptional. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had to force ourselves to stop eating it was so good. “Amazing food. The green tea was fragrant and outstanding, best I've ever had in an Asian restaurant. This place is very authentic, it's located in a quaint Asian district and nextdoor to a large market inside of a mini-mall. Very humble setting, nice atmosphere and traditional music.

Only reason for 1 lost star is the server wasn't very receptive - she also spit in the sink right in front of us when I asked her for more to-go containers and a sauce container. Even if she was sick, I feel that's something she could have done in the bathroom or privately with a napkin. It left me questioning the ethics and cleanliness of the establishment or if it was purposeful because the initial boxes she provided fell short of what we needed to take our food with us and each request was seemingly met with reluctance. The service could be better but wasn't so poor that it detracted from the overall experience. Left with plenty of food and full, happy bellies!“

“This is a good spot for carryout. It's fairly typical American Chinese style fare, but they do have some more traditionally inspired Chinese dishes. I would always recommend going with fresh food over fried stuff, and they have a good selection here. The hot and sour soup was really good as was the chicken with veggies that I ordered. The sauce was flavorful, slightly sweet, garlicky, and soy sauce based. Price was fine. If you are planning to dine in, the atmosphere is a little bland and the place is super small. I would definitely recommend carryout. 7.7/10“
