The food is very good. Every time I’ve eaten there I enjoy every bite. The flavours vary. The menu varies but it has some solid favourites as standard like the burger.

Alton is a hidden as is this restaurant.
It’s worth the road trip.

Ray's 3rd Generation is a renowned restaurant known for its exceptional food and innovative bakery. The menu offers a wide variety of delectable options, including the popular Yorkshire pudding appetizer, steak with a reduction sauce that takes 3 days to make, and tasty grilled calamari. The restaurant is praised for its friendly service, making customers feel at home. The casual setting allows for comfortable attire, whether in jeans or a suit. Ray's is a small restaurant, so it can get busy on weekends, but the lively atmosphere, even on a rainy night, adds to the dining experience. The spacious patio provides a lovely space for outdoor dining. Many guests enjoy dishes like the Caesar salad, lamb, BBQ burger, and Skor cheesecake, which has been described as sweet but unctuous. Reservations are suggested to ensure a memorable visit, as many consider it the best decision when dining locally.
