“I have grown up stopping in here on my way up and back from our cottage. Their pumpkin pies are unmatched I had to go back and get another this week because it was so good. Donuts are incredible- honestly you can’t go wrong with anything in this place. Friendly welcoming service always. If you’re in the area highly recommend you stop in for some goodies. I’ll be missing this place over winter. See you next year!”

“Such lovely owners and a wide selection of products. I especially like their shampoo and body wash products. My hair has never been so clean and no build up. Vitamins, spices, fresh seasonal produce, great coffee bean choices, frozen and refrigerated products, amazing olive choices and artisan oils and vinaigrettes. Great cleaning products too. The Peony scented dish soap is awesome! It’s got a little of so many necessities. I’ve just moved to Durham so this little shop is so convenient and necessary for me. My new favourite go-to shop! Happy to shop local.”

“Stopped in to see how it is with the new owners. Was greeted by a friendly staff. The burgers served are delicious and sourced from The Harriston Meat Packing Company (another local gem). Good variety of ice cream flavours as well. Happy to support the new and improved Clifford Snack Shack and wish them all the best going foreword.”

“Absolutely Delicious. I enjoy everything. The Chocolate cream cheese coconut cupcakes are amazing as well as the Nanaimo Bars . The cherry pastry was so amazing and smelled delicious while eating . Cupcakes were moist and the icing so flavourful from the raspberry to the Oreo sprinkle . Then the raspberry coconut tarts delicious and fresh , perfect size as well. Extremely happy with everything I tried and can’t wait to go back.”

“We’ve been visiting the Cedar Rail for over 20 years; whenever we’re heading to/from Southampton. It was super busy when we were there the other day. Still, service with a smile. The footlongs were their usual good quality on fresh buns. The fries were particularly good and piping hot. The Cedar Rail has been in operation for 60 years but under new management for the past few. They’re doing a great job. Washroom was clean, btw. It’s like stepping back in time when we visit…in a good way!”

We didn’t get the chance to try the buffet as it wasn’t open but the dishes we ordered off the menu were amazing. Definitely stopping by. “I came to get a couple of pizzas last tuesday and I was greeted by a very cheerful and patient young lady and her name was Annabelle (I only asked for her name because I thought her work should be noticed!). Despite it being very busy, she was so patient and kind to all of the costumers that came to pick up their pizza (myself included). In addition to the wonderful service, the pizza I received tasted absolutely delicious and you could tell it was made with care! It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be coming back again!”
