“This is our second stay at the Empress Inn and Suite. We finally found the perfect place to fully enjoy Sandbanks. My family and I find the room spacious for 4 people. The room is clean, large and functional! We are very happy to be able to shower and sleep in a comfortable bed after a day at the beach. We also like to have a little drink on the terrace at the end of the day!

The Local Store is worth a visit to discover local artisans and the Sandbanks beaches are less than 10 minutes away.”

If you like a thin crust, wood oven pizza with good quality toppings then this place is for you.

I’ve tried wood oven pizzas all over the county and this is my go-to. Try the kimchi pizza.

It’s cool that they added some extra stuff to the menu this year but they’re still missing a dip for the pizza crust.

Dietary restrictions: The owner is accommodating to change things. My kid doesn’t eat cheese but likes pizza, so he’ll make her a pepperoni pizza without the cheese.

“We were a party of 6 last night and had a fantastic experience. The food was phenomenal but the service was top-notch! All three staff we interacted with were charismatic and personable. The hostess learned my mother was here from Newfoundland and told us all about the trip her friends just planned for the Rock, showing us the map on her tablet. Our server “Prince Charming” was so engaged with my step-son who is on the spectrum and can be very shy. It made my son’s whole night having a conversation with him about the Shrek movies and Puss in Boots! I could not say enough about what a wonderful experience we had at Hartley’s.”

“Dropped by Slake Brewery for their Cherry Seltzer and other beers with my family of 6. Lots of parking!! We loved the open concept Interior design overlooking a beautiful viewpoint of PEC. They have a taco place called Rebel Taco which is the same thing as the brewery. They're both in the same location despite the Google maps location. Fun cozy vibe. Washrooms were clean. Staff was friendly for our off-season visit.”

The food was really good. I had their Whiskey BBQ Chicken Wings, accompanied by crispy fries, and the flavors were on point. The BBQ dipping sauce was the perfect complement, adding a tangy kick. They also offer great options for Glucose. free, and dietary needs making it an inclusive spot for everyone. We popped by during happy hour and the atmosphere was cheery and bright. Great food and drinks, friendly staff and service added warmth to the whole dining experience. If you’re in the Picton area or looking for a short drive from Kingston, this spot is worth the visit.”
