“👉 First of all, this restaurant is NOT in King, as Google Maps suggests. It's at the bridge in Bradford (Simcoe/York border).

This restaurant has been around since my childhood, and though we don't go often, we ALWAYS go there for our large family outings.

They are super accommodating with tons of space and incredible food. I've never had a bad meal at the Riverview. The interior has remained original, which I love. It's comforting to see something that stands the test of time with its retro charm and fights against modern coldness. I much prefer it, if I'm being honest. Modern restaurants have their place, but old school charm is where it's at...

If you haven't yet been to The Riverview, you need to go. Above average portion sizes, great food and service at a reasonable cost. And tons of retro, small town personality.

I would suggest following them on Facebook or Instagram, but... you CAN'T! Old school at its very best. No social media. You'll just have to trust me :)“

“I was looking for a dessert cafe when I visited Newmarket after lunch with my friends. We found a couple of places, but they didn’t work out for us, so we decided to try Bene Bene Waffle & Ice Cream instead!

I would say parking was the most challenging part. There seemed to be some space behind the cafe , but we weren’t completely sure about it.

Anyway, when we walked in, they welcomed us very warmly. They gave us enough time to fully explore the menu and helped explain a few items we weren’t sure about.

The hotteok here is definitely a must-try. It was very fresh, chewy, and nicely presented. The drinks were also great , not overly sweet which I really liked.

The people working here seem to care about the decorations and cleanliness. At one point I noticed a staff member (maybe the owner, I’m not sure) wash his hands properly before helping customers after doing something else. I was honestly impressed.

You don’t see many cafes that follow such proper hygiene procedures.

Overall, this is definitely a place I would recommend visiting. They also have Kawartha ice cream, so I’ll definitely come back again to try other items on the menu.“
