Wonderful food and drinks!!!
My friends and I went to Burro last night to celebrate a milestone for me, and to celebrate our friendship. I recently had some very serious health challenges, and this was our first time out together in over 8 months. The staff made us feel like we were the most important table in the house. Zora was our waitress, she was amazing, and the other staff would check in on us too to make sure everything was going well. The food was amazing…each taco a masterpiece! My wife and I made the trip from Waterloo to Burlington today for a delightful lunch at Burro. Our server, also the one who runs the place, was amazing, friendly and informative. Based on recent reviews, The Mule Burlington (Formerly Burro) is a small spot with a great little patio tucked into an aesthetic alley. The food was excellent, with a bunch of different tacos that did not disappoint; the birria was fantastic and the tofu tacos were also liked. The vegetarian and fish tacos were loved, the jerk chicken taco was good, but the chimi beef was passable. The brisket was a little tough compared to other places. The dip trio and cocktails were very good, with the spicy mango margarita being amazing. The house made habanero pineapple hot sauce was nice. The kale mango salad felt like a cheat, being tiny and not very flavorful. The staff were friendly and very quick to help, though service was sometimes rushed. The ambiance is nice and quiet enough to have a conversation, with eclectic decor and perfect lighting. Pricing is a little high for what you get.
