“Wow! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a Friday night dinner at the quaint Downtown Bistro & Grill, Burlington. Excellent, very personable service and fantastic food. I started with a Caesar Salad that was huge and garlickly delicious. My wife had baked brie which was also tasty. She also enjoyed her Beef Tenderloin but the show stopper was my main. A phenomenal, unctuous and exceptionally tender beer braised beef short rib with mashed and seasonal vegetables. Fantastic!!! Highly recommended!!!“

“After almost a year, I finally had an amazing get-together with my friends at Spencer's — and it was absolutely worth the wait. I started with a dozen fresh oysters and a glass of Palmer Champagne, followed by a Nova Scotia lobster roll that was simply outstanding. The food, the atmosphere, and the whole experience were perfect. Definitely one of the best brunches I've had in a long time.“

And the chicken pad thai was delicious

We also had the coconut snow ball desert was was also delicious and a great way to end the meal.

The chef spoke with us to ask how the meal was and she said everything is homemade and only cooked when ordered and you could definitely tell because it was all excellent home cooked food that you can tell was made with passion and love.“

“I’ve been wanting to try Bernie’s for sometime now and I’m sure glad I got to today. The ambiance was a delight, the kitchen was busy with takeaway orders right when they opened and the bartender was nice. My pint of beer was nice and cold and my club sandwich was over the top awesome and left me feeling full. My girlfriend enjoyed the burger — which the beef patty looked house made- and my Caesar salad was made with fresh crunchy lettuce! We’ll definitely be back for more! Cheers!“
