“If you love homemade food that you really can’t find anywhere else- the Royal Coachman is the place to go. We have been coming here for over 25 years. The food is amazing. Highly recommend. Our fav is the mushroom caps with homemade croissants & the Chicken Wellington served with potato, candied carrots, & mixed vegetables. As far as I can tell I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is always good & so friendly & welcoming.”

“On Saturday, August 1st. 2026 I led a group of 18 motorcycles & 19 people in total for a tour around Hay Bay & the Napanee area. I pre booked the elevated west room for our lunch stop Mr. Chips ( we have eaten here once a summer ride for several years now ). Never a disappointment! Terrific service from the young lady server who has cared for us many times before. I canvassed our folks after lunch & all agreed the menu & quality of food & service was exceptional. “Today I took my Mother-In-Law out for lunch and decided to go to Spuds Restaurant. My Mother-In-Law has a lot of issues eating certain foods due to Radiation and Chemo on her throat. She decided on a plain omelette to try. And yes, she had a lot of problems trying to swallow. The owner asked if she could bring her a Rice Pudding as it was good a creamy. Even though she never complained about the omelette. One thing she can eat is Rice Pudding. What an amazing and kind thing to do, without being asked. Thank you so much Sue, you were so compassionate . I will highly recommend Spuds Restaurant. And by the way, my meal was awesome. 👍💕”

“Went to the Waterfront for Thanksgiving dinner this year, on Oct. 10. Started with a craft beer at the downstairs bar, where there are board games & card games to try out. Then moved upstairs for dinner which was Turkey Wellington with all the trimmings, & pumpkin cheesecake for dessert! It was all delicious & service was great. Definitely will go again.”

“We stopped off this afternoon to visit Napanee Falls on our way from Ottawa to Toronto — and they are beautiful, by the way! While we were there, we took a stroll into town and discovered this lovely little bakery.
We bought some cakes, a cheese scone (absolutely divine!) and enjoyed a coffee. The service was wonderful, and the place had such a lovely, warm, homely feel to it.
It’s places like this that make our holiday from the UK so special and create memories we’ll remember for a long time. Thank you so much!”

“Incredible barbecue. I've been to some of the best barbecue places in Austin and this is easily on the same level. The brisket and ribs are incredible, but last time I just tried the jalapeno cheddar sausage and it was absolutely incredible, bursting with cheese. The potato salad is great as are their rotating featured salads. Bit pricey for a filling meal but the quality is worth every penny. Stuff is sold out sometimes, it can be disappointing to hope to get some brisket and not be able to, even fairly early in the afternoon, but there's always another delicious item to try--that's how I discovered the jalapeno cheddar sausage and now I plan to get it every time!”

“We stopped by on our way back to Toronto from Montreal. We placed a large order with short notice, and as we were stopping by during a long road trip had no other option but to pick up the bread at an inconvenient hour for Pamela Ann.She was super accommodating, fulfilling the order in super quick turnaround, but also allowing us to pick up our order when any other baker would have laughed in our face.So, we get A+ service before we even try the Banana Bread. How's the Banana bread?A++++ Plus. Seriously. It's super good. Definitely worth the drive, and you gotta remember, that drive for me was from Toronto to Montreal and back to Toronto. I was supposed to be on vacation, the vacation didn't start until I was 3 hours away from home, when we finally got our banana bread and ate it in the car.THANK YOU Pamela Ann!
