“We ordered chili beef, chilli pork, chicken laphing, chicken momo sizzler and chicken noodles. Every did was mind blowing, the sizzler was oily but I loved it. Laphing was proper spicy - as hot as I love. Chilli beef was good. Will come again, very welcoming place!“

That’s where I fell in love with momos! ❤ After 20 years in Canada, I finally found a place that brought those memories and that same taste back. Every bite took me back to my childhood. “Songtsen is always fantastic. Living in Parkdale, I've tried most Tibetan and Nepalese restaurants. Without question, their pork dishes are the best around. Tender with the right lean to fat ratio is not as easy to get right as you may think. To lean and its to tough. To fatty and its to chewy. Songtsen always delivers. Thank You!!!“

“Came here on my first day after moving in to the neighbourhood and who I presume is the owner was so sweet and kind! He gave me directions for things nearby and talked to me during my meal, and his kid looked like she was having a lot of fun as well. I ordered the Aloo Paratha and the plate was steaming hot when it came out and was the size of my chest, and it was 7 bucks! I gave a huge tip and I plan to return many times in the future!“

“Absolutely loved our experience at The Chulo! We ordered the thali and chatpatey, and everything was so delicious. The food tasted genuinely authentic, flavorful, and reminded us of home. 🇳🇵❤
We literally finished every plate! 😍 The portions were great, the flavors were amazing, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared.
Even the owner (I’m not sure if he was the owner) came by and asked if we wanted more food or refills. He was so kind and attentive, and that extra hospitality made us feel even more welcome.
If you’re looking for authentic Nepali food, I definitely recommend giving The Chulo a try. We will definitely be coming back! ❤“

“it was overall great experience Sandeep and Sangita (not sure the name the pretty girl with the glasses )were fantastic we were very happy with the hospitality we received. We came a long way driving for more than 2h to satisfy our newari cuisine craving and the entire experience was awesome.“

“we just ordered from here for the first time. it was instantly our new favorite restaurant in town. the steamed veggie momo was light considering it was a dumpling but the piri piri momo was possibly the greatest take-out food we've ever had. we also got the daily plater that would require a glowing review of its own. what a wonderfully diverse platter whith top level ingredients (I found a cardamom pod and if you cook you know those suckers ain't cheap) well done. very well done.“

“Makes sense why this place has so many reviews. Food here is really good, even the fries for the kids which we didnt plan on getting.
Momo filling is well seasoned. You can easily slam back a whole plate.
Word of warning though for parents, depending on your kids, there is a touch of spice in the steamed momos about the same intensity as a crack of black pepper. Our kids haven't opened up to spice yet, which we didnt expect from steamed momos. They're good momos, don't get us wrong.
