La Rose Bakery Reviews
I have fond memories of coming to this bakery as a child, getting chicken fingers and potato wedges, cold cuts for my lunches, it was a staple of our community.
I had moved away for many years and have since returned, visited two times over the past couple weeks. Both times I have felt letdown. The service is depressing, and you can tell that they are either still training their employees or have totally neglected to train them.

It's changed owners last year, and the new owners are just as dedicated to keeping La Rose as a community staple!
All the usual favourites are there (bread, pastries, hot table, coffee, etc.) and they've added a fresh produce section and some more grocery staple shelves (and an ice cream freezer!). The space is more open and modernized from before, but keeps the same lovely atmosphere.

Since the new owners took over, the place looks beautiful—it's very clean, organized, and welcoming. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and provide excellent customer service.

La Rose Bakery, located in Etobicoke, offers a variety of fresh baked goods, slice meats, and espresso. The bakery is known for its amazing fresh bread and has been a staple for over 40 years, with loyal customers praising the quality of the veal sandwich and prosciutto. The prices are reasonable, and the staff provides great, old-school service. However, some customers have noted that the interior could use some updating and cleaning. There have been reports of old and dusty surfaces and limited food choices, with past favorites like the hot table now less abundant. While the bread remains a highlight, the pastries and sweets do not compare to those from other bakeries. Despite these concerns, La Rose Bakery has the potential to regain its status as a beloved local business with some improvements and fresh enthusiasm.
