“Much has already been written about the pastries in previous reviews, but I want to praise this place for its coffee. After we moved to Canada, it was very difficult to find a good coffee shop (Tim Hortons and Starbucks don't really count as coffee in my opinion), so this place has become our favorite. Not everywhere you can see cinnamon to add to cappuccinos at the self-service table.“

I got one during a food festival, and that was the stuff I needed. They offer traditional flavors and a more modern one. The glaze is awesome.

I usually go downtown to destress but Mik is a 10-min walk from home and in my opinion it’s one of the best coffee shops I’ve tried. The ambiance is perfect for studying and the customer service is amazing—friendly and attentive staff who genuinely make a connection. Love their tres leches and creme brulee.“

“Patty World is officially one of my “spots”. I had the red snapper and two beef patties. The snapper was very meaty, well seasoned, moist and delicious. To top it all off the snapper dinner was only $10. I also had two beef patties. The crust was amazing and the consistency was perfect. The patty was FILLED with meat, and the meat was so juicy that I wasn’t sure whether to eat the meat or drink it. I haven’t had a patty this nice since the mid 80’s. Be prepared it is cash only and worth every penny.“

I'd like to give Future Bakery at the corner of Brunswick and Bloor a solid 5/5 little a's for their (lack) of AODA aware service today. I don't think members of your community who have lived here for decades deserve to leave your establishment crying because of the lack of knowledge or compassion from your staff and service. Step up and perhaps (re)train everyone re: AODA guidelines? I will no longer be returning.“

“Look no further, hands down THE BEST empanadas in the GTA.

They are Filipino style empanadas that were adopted from Argentinian style empanadas and they’re executed perfectly that everyone can appreciate. They are far from the other Latin American style empanadas that tend to be greasy. The crust on these are rich, flaky, and tasty.

Everyone I’ve given these empanadas to haven’t mentioned how good they are. It never disappoints!!
