“This ain't a sandwich, it's two meals in one.

The car park is a bit tight considering all the traffic but worth it to get in. The place was compact but had a tonne of character, with a proper spread of Italian goodies. The service was quick, wonderful and even made modifications on the fly just to up the flavor. That's some wonderful service.

I got the Joey D's specialty and man it's special. Those cold cuts were thin and stacked so they basically melted away. The olive spread was almost like a muffuletta, bringing that tang in there. The bread was soft but strong enough to hold everything together. Fresh veggies. Right amount of Mayo. Absolutely no complaints.

“Via Allegro has been one of my favorite restaurants for many, many years. In 2022, they changed ownership, but the warm, family-like atmosphere remains as special as ever. Every visit is memorable, and last night was no exception. My girlfriend and I celebrated a milestone, and the staff went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. Our server, Alex, made sure every detail was perfect (it’s the second time we've been lucky enough to have him). From the personalized reservation card on the table to the exquisite wine selection, served at the perfect temperature and topped up at just the right moment, everything was flawless. “I was a long-time customer in the 1990’s at the Yonge St location. The “big slice” is no longer offered. The pizza is still very good. I come mainly for the spaghetti and meatballs which I ordered often at the former Bloor St West and Islington Ave location. The tiramisu is excellent. Service has always been excellent going back to the Yonge St location. The grandkids run the restaurant now.“

“Porta via was really clean and so flavourful. I didn't know what to expect walking in but the workers were so helpful - quickly asking if it was my first time there and helping me order. The food itself was ready quickly and it was all clean, fresh, and flavourful. They had lots of spices off to the side as well! My bowl came out to $20 and was really worth it and filling. Definitely give this place a try if in the area especially for work lunch.“

The family owned Italian bakery has some of the best chicken and veal sandwiches with authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment running by the store owner mother, father and son who treat you like their own the second you walk in the door to the smell of fresh coffee and fresh homemade pastries! Highly recommend especially their veal!“

“I'm actually at a loss for words. This was a suggestion by a client of mine who does mortgages, and we were having a real estate business meeting. He's been talking about this place, ranting and raving on how amazing it is.... and wow was he right. We both got the lamb shank and a side of risotto and a great house red, and the meal was absolutely a phenomenal.
Ohh I forgot to mention that we both got on our arrival. Some bruscetta and side of and olive oil and vinaigrette to dip our bread in, and that is well was spectacular.
I am absolutely looking forward to coming here, sooner than later and this will be my new place to have fantastic business lunches.

“Came here for Valentine’s Day dinner. Quiet and cozy. Great service and food. We ordered the steak and it was tender and cooked perfectly. The pasta was also nice. My partner had the cocktail and sad it was just alright so probably just get wine instead!“

There was four of us. Two of my sisters had pizza that it was accompanied by a salad and My Brother had a big salad accompanied with pizza bread I had the meatballs accompanied with pizza bread, they were perfect. My Sister tried one of m Japan one and decided to take an order home to have for dinner. “I go to this ONE particular Pizza Nova because I ALWAYS get great pizza from them, I either get a slice of pepperoni, where they make their own, and eat it there or on the run. This time around, I was leaving Toronto after my long birthday weekend, and I always get a "large" pepperoni to take with me for the long drive home. I only had one slice out of the pie while on the road, but it heats up awesomely!! I heat it up a day after I got home and it tasted fresh like they just made it for me. Great price as well.“
