“We have come here many times in the past 20 years and have never been disappointed. Staff are always kind, service is efficient, the atmosphere welcoming. The menu has a nice selection without being overwhelming. The fries are amazing here.“

“I've been here before. They serve a great smoked meat sandwich is 5 stars. Nice atmosphere and good service. This time though I tried the Burger with fried onions, mushrooms and cheese. Unfortunately it was a just a bit over cooked, I believe, because the juices in the Berger where practically gone, aka a bit dry. I asked the waitress for some mayo, which helped. My friend had the club sandwich and thought, perhaps it could use a bit more mayo (but didn't add any). Maybe it just needed to be spread more evenly? Anyhoot, the meal was great, and I highly recommend this quaint pub. We sit on the booth side where it's quieter. I also park on the next Street over, though the parking lot wasn't full. Finally, the place is wheelchair accessible with functional button at the front doors. But beware, the washroom, though it's handicap/wheelchair accessible, there's no button to open the door, so you might need to ask for a hand or not for that one.“

Went there yesterday (Sunday) and the restaurant was very packed - which is to be expected at breakfast time on a Sunday. We only had about a 15 minute wait though.

My dining companion's food came out hit and fresh and delicious, while mine looked as if it had been sitting for awhile. The eggs and potatoes were both overdone, which is unusual for this location and this particular dish.

Overall the experience wasn't bad, but not up to my usual dining experience here. Usually it would be 5 stars, but this time it was just okay.

I would recommend coming around lunch time on a week day.“

Our original spot was closed for lunch, so my wife remembered a place someone mentioned during a recent workshop. She checked her notes, a few options popped up, and the only one open at the time was Sans façon. One quick look online, and we were immediately intrigued. The aesthetics, the menu, the vibe—it checked all our boxes. So off we went. From the moment we stepped inside, the place just wowed us. The interior design is incredible—modern yet warm, with a touch of Irish decor. We were invited to sit wherever we wanted, and since it wasn’t too busy yet, we actually went table shopping! We checked out the left, the right, and even upstairs before claiming the biggest corner table in the house—usually perfect for a work dinner, but today it was our royal suite for two. Our server, Kaëlle, was exceptional from start to finish. She made us feel right at home, catered to us with a smile, and remained attentive even as the place filled up. We started with oysters—shucked to perfection and beautifully fresh. Then came a side of shrimp to warm up the taste buds. For mains, my wife had the Steak Frites: seasoned perfectly and served at just the right temperature. I went with the AAA Aged Beef Tartar, which wasn’t even on the menu yet—and wow, what a treat. The presentation was stunning, and the flavours absolutely nailed it. Let me say it again—the design of the restaurant is something special. It adds so much to the experience. But the true star? Our waitress. Kaëlle was quick, professional, and clearly passionate about the place. Service like that takes a great meal and turns it into an unforgettable experience. We’re already planning our return and will be recommending Sans façon to all our friends and family. Gatineau has a new favourite.“

“I went to the standard to enjoy a patio on Canada Day. The Waitresses were all wearing masks and respected physical distancing. our table was sanitized. We drank out of pineapple, which was over the top in a good way. I had fish tacos, which were okay but they were a little bit liquidy. my friend had a chicken burger with just the right amount of crunch. it was the perfect patio and the perfect drink in the perfect food on a perfect day.“

“I love Jacks so much. The Christmas pop up is so fun and the service is always great. Alexandra was extremely attentive and friendly. She greeted us almost immediately after we sat down, checked in on us multiple times and with a smile on her face. If you have the pleasure of having her as your server, ask her to tell you a joke, they are great!“

“The restaurant is inside the hotel. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. There is a limited menu but what they offer is good. The potions are on the smaller side but reasonably priced. The location is convenient as there is no other restaurant nearby.“

“Good pub food, great weekly deals. Fun staff and delicious beer. A great local pub! Even on cheap wing night, the wings are fantastic and chonky. Come Wednesday night, get a pint of Flora Hall IPA and a pound or two of wings.“

“Came for the IESA State Wrestling tournament. swung in for some drinks during a break to celebrate my nephew getting into the Championship. Our server/bartender/ runner/ host/ one man front of house machine GREG!!!! and his cook who we couldn't utilize sadly because only those two were running the place and we had a limited time. Great environment, menu looked amazing, amd great taps available. Gregg acknowledged every person walking through the door got us our drinks with perfect timing and could be seen running the floor to help everyone out. next time We're up north this place will be a for sure stop. and hopefully we can run into Gregg again to get the same stellar service.“

“Saw a lot of negative reviews about the food but we really liked the food. I tried the butter chicken and it was good( thought it didn’t taste like authentic butter chicken, the taste was good). The portion was really good. We also tried the tacos and wings- both items were good. The service was also great. One of the plus point is the operating hours.“
