“I popped into Smokeys on a whim and glad that I did. I had the smoked meat sandwhich and it was one of the best tasting I've had. The meat was well seasoned, flavorful, moist and enjoyable to eat. I also ordered a side of the coleslaw and again I was very impreased. It was creamy without being watery, had good crunch and the flavour was superb.

“Nancy and Rita run a fantastic restaurant, they are very warm and inviting! The hot turkey & fries with a side of homemade chicken noodle hit the spot. “I went to the standard to enjoy a patio on Canada Day. The Waitresses were all wearing masks and respected physical distancing. our table was sanitized. We drank out of pineapple, which was over the top in a good way. I had fish tacos, which were okay but they were a little bit liquidy. my friend had a chicken burger with just the right amount of crunch. it was the perfect patio and the perfect drink in the perfect food on a perfect day.“

Service was top notch and the ambiance was great especially when there a match on the TVs. A bit expensive but for the quantity and quality it perfect“

“Came for the IESA State Wrestling tournament. swung in for some drinks during a break to celebrate my nephew getting into the Championship. Our server/bartender/ runner/ host/ one man front of house machine GREG!!!! and his cook who we couldn't utilize sadly because only those two were running the place and we had a limited time. Great environment, menu looked amazing, amd great taps available. Gregg acknowledged every person walking through the door got us our drinks with perfect timing and could be seen running the floor to help everyone out. next time We're up north this place will be a for sure stop. and hopefully we can run into Gregg again to get the same stellar service.“

“Visited for a patio dinner on a Saturday evening. Good menu, clean venue, wait staff pleasant, food was good! But I have to point out a major faux-pas. I ordered the deep fried cheesecake for dessert. It was supposed to come with strawberry and chocolate sauce & whip cream. They were out of strawberry sauce but didn't mention it when I ordered and so was not given the option to choose something else. Another restaurant runner dropped it off with NO toppings whatsoever... I thought the toppings might come after, but after a while ate it as it was (it was good but would have been so much better with even only one of the toppings) Finally when our bill came, we mentioned that the dessert had no toppings. We were told the waitress was new and didn't realize.... I get that... but what I wasn't expecting was that we still had to pay full price for the dessert---no discount, no other offer. That was very disappointing service... I suppose I could have complained or asked to speak to a "manager" but at that point just really wanted to leave. Because everything else about the restaurant was good---and so happy it's even Canadian---we will return... hoping for a better experience“
