“An Okay Venue For A Game Of PoolI came here twice. First time during an employee appreciation day with management and staff (in Sep 2023) and 2nd time with my kids and I for a family-related friendly game of pool. Found the venue okay with friendly staff. To play a single hour cost $20 + tax which I found a bit pricey and we only got the smaller tables (same price as the big tables). Beer and cocktails were hyper-expensive. Overall it was okay.“

Sean was a fantastic trainer and ran a fabulous tournament for our team! He was super funny and very helpful! We ordered some pizza and they provided us with plates and napkins when it arrived. “My wife Cheryl and I were in town last week to go to a Sens game and stayed at the Best Western the pub is attached to. After the game we went I for a bite and a couple of beers. Turns out High Five is a pretty popular joint with great staff and an amazing group of regulars. We had an absolute blast. If I lived in the area this would be my place to hang at. “Had the chance to try out this place due to a year end team event at work. As a big fan of goat cheese, I ordered the goatee burger and I think this is the best burger I've tried in Ottawa so far. The beef patty is tender and juicy. The chef did a great job. The bread is soft and nice too. Every bite of the burger is addicting. I give it a 4.5/5 overall.“
“Our server was Jenna. Great wings, and they gave us free sauce to take home. I came on bottomless boneless wing night, and the portions were great. Their fries were unique and not the bland cut fries. Great attentive service from Jenna, who frequently stopped by our table to ask for refills on water and wings. Bathrooms were in great condition and looked well clean and free of dust and debris.“

“Great premium beer, six bucks during happy hour. Warm inviting staff, Mia, Jen and even Ron. Lots of big screen tvs and a nice homey bar. Lots of regulars who are friendly.Only downside to this place is the washrooms are down in the basement which makes it more difficult for people with mobility issues, or lazy people like me.Nice place to go to for a quick beer and a snack or a full meal.“

“Went to eat there on a Saturday before going to watch the hockey game. Food was great, the waitress was absolutely fantastic. My wife has a gluten issue and ordered the burger. The waitress was quick to point out that some ingredients weren't gluten free, and she offered to make sure that it was made with gluten free ingredients. We were both amazed that she wound do this. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but she was awesome, great job to her.“
“Great spot above the Rinks at Richcraft Sensplex.We had a big charity tournament there this weekend and went upstairs for beers and eats between and after games. The staff was overwhelmed but doing their best. The food took a while but made it to the table hot and tasty. The Deep Fried Pickles were my favourite, but the Pulled Pork Sandwich also deserves a go.I would hope that they try to lay on more staff when there's a big tournament going on next time.“

“10/10 experience with Smoque Shack catering our wedding. They brought their food truck to our venue and then served our dinner family-style. They also stuck around and did our late night snack from the truck. We got a lot of great feedback from our guests that they thought the food was great and that they had more than enough food portions-wise. The timing of our service went really well, and we also liked how the food was presented on the tables. Tyler was hands down the fastest vendor to respond to our emails and questions, too, and accommodated our requested changes with no issues and a great deal of flexibility. We were aiming for comfort food where our guests would feel relaxed, comfortable, and satisfied, and Smoque Shack definitely delivered.“

“Watched the Canadian juniors hockey vs Sweden. The smoque house food is always good. The service was impressive. Bartender was on her own with over 30 patrons and she was great. Didn't miss anyone. Ran the whole place with some really good kitchen staff. I recommend the smoque platter.“
