“Siam Restaurant is such a fantastic spot! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. One thing I really appreciated was how they kept my water glass full the whole time without me even having to ask. Their attention to detail in service was great.

The food is delicious no matter what you order. I have to mention their Tom Yum soup—it’s so flavorful and absolutely hit the spot! If you’re craving some tasty Thai food, you definitely need to check this place out.“

Had: Chicken Satay, Fresh Spring Rolls, Panang Curry, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Crispy Tofu, with a Sticky Mango dessert. Perfect for individual or sharing plates. “I literally just finished eating the BEST Tom Kah Goong (shrimp) soup with an extra of vegetables. It was a generous portion of tasty, just right spicy soup made with coconut milk and super fresh ingredients.

“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. I wish they were closer to me because I would frequent their establishment much more often. Definitely a place to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

We have been passing their Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday outdoor advertisement for buy 1 get 1 specials.

Tonight, stopped by for take-out. OMG red curry with tofu and vegetables (buy 1 get 1). The curry is DELISH. You need rice to soak up all that curry juice. The tofu was plenty and vegetables were astoundingly fresh. I'd give this place 6 or 7 stars if I could.

We will be regulars !!!

“The second we stepped in the restaurant we were welcomed by the flagrant smell of lemongrass and shrimp so we had to order the Tom Kha soup with the spicy hot and sour broth. For second I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken with Vermicelli and my son asked for
Thai Royal noodle with grilled shrimp skewers.
I was pleasantly surprised to get a free spring roll with the soup. The Tom Kha was very nice, just a little spicy but it had a little too much tofu for my like.
The Thai Royal noodle came with rice noodles tossed in basil sauce so it was green and a
healthy choice for the health conscious mind.
We finished our lunch (on Jan 29th. 2025)
with a delicious cheese cake.
For all of this nice lunch in a quiet and pleasant restaurant we payed $52.40…
T-basil in Orleans is an excellent choice for delicious Thai cuisine and there is plenty of free parking spaces.

“Definitely our favourite local Thai food in Orleans. Great to support a small business. They are always friendly when we go to pick up our order. The shrimp spring rolls, coconut sticky rice and green curry with chicken are our favourites but haven't had anything on the menu disappoint. I don't usually write reviews but I don't want this place to ever close so I hope others give it a try and enjoy it too.“

“A tiny take-out heavy restaurant in an unassuming location, this restaurant speaks for itself with its big flavours. We have brought several friends here and unfortunately got them addicted! Sorry friends!The flavours are big, the portions as well, and they use a huge variety of veggies in their dishes. Their green curry and Thai coconut chicken are my favourite (the latter is ADDICTIVE). Quick notes: they do their pad see ew with the same thin noodles as their pad Thai. The pad Thai is on the sweeter side (still yum). Green curry has a kick but isn’t the spiciest I have ever had. Rice is ordered on the side, unless you get a combo plate (great value!!)

“Our absolute favourite Thai restaurant in Ottawa! The food is flavorful, delicious, well prepared, perfectly seasoned, and is a delight to eat. Our family has been working its way through the menu and so far nothing has been less than amazing. To make it even more amazing, their staff are super friendly and informative. Very friendly.“

“I visited with my sister last week and ordered the rare beef pho and enjoyed it very much. The service was prompt and attentive - the food also came out very quickly. The atmosphere was lovely, clean tables and chairs, and tasteful decoration.

The pho itself was very nice. However, the broth (although clearly homemade with lovely clean flavours and a good amount of fat) to my palate lacked some of the spices which enhance those classic pho flavours. To me it tasted like a perfect chicken noodle soup broth. The hoisin sauce and siracha helped bring it back to the pho world.

We did not get bean sprouts or thai basil to put on top, however we also visited late at night close to closing time.“

They are always a reliable lunch option for a healthy portion of Thai stir fries and rice dishes for extremely reasonable prices under $14 at today's inflation rates. The beef Pad Kee is my goto with a decent portion of beef slices and broccoli compared to equivalent Thai Expresses. Noodles are saucy and succulent. Give it a try and support this staple local business who had survived through the pandemic to serve up great stirfries.“

“Best thai express in Ottawa. 'I drop $20 dish here with my Extra options. My fam and I been coming here for 5 years and I will say the service / quality has only gotten better. I regularily order pad thai, stir fry, and pad see eew for myself and my fam. Some places will give you soup instead of noodles because theres too much sauce, but these guys cook the noodles right. They always have their side-sauces available AND with big containers (Why do other locations use small containers? kills me). The rice is always delicious,.. everything is made fast, but not with disrespect. I don't get shrimp because shrimp is weak, so I can't say about shrimp but the beef and chicken is always plentiful.“

“The service and the food are amazing. This restaurant should have more attention and I believe it would if it weren’t in such a hidden location. I have had PHO soup in Ottawa on Somerset that wasn’t even as good as this PHO.

Me and my kids love this restaurant.

“I’m try hard to find something wrong with my Red curry dish and I really can’t. And I was in Thailand for a month and tried lots of Red curry. The chicken was fresh and white meat, there’s was enough of the sauce. The vegetables were nice but the only thing I regret was not getting rice with my order. I’ll be calling again for sure.“
