“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. I wish they were closer to me because I would frequent their establishment much more often. Definitely a place to go. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Everything is fresh and delicious and Su the owner is a delight to talk to and to watch as she cooks. She produces amazing dishes using only 2 woks. We highly recommend ordering from Champa Thai if you are in Ottawa. We only regret that she can't deliver to Sudbury.“

“Quality of food has gone downhill. General Tao chicken was sour and house fried rice was basically chicken fried rice with 2 shrimp thrown in. Very disappointed.“

“This place has been open in Orleans for as long as I can remember. Been here a couple of times but it had been years! We returned on a Friday night and were surprised that it was quiet (pleasant) for dine in. There were many takeout orders being picked up though.

I had the vegetarian spring rolls as the appetizer which were quite good. For my main I had the chicken pad thai – it was “ok”. Not my favourite but the portion size was good and the chicken was white meat which is always great! Hubby had the fusion roll which was like sushi wrapped in rice paper which he enjoyed. His main was the crispy noodle (Stir-fried shrimp, chicken and mixed vegetables in a light ginger sauce over a nest of crispy egg noodles) which he enjoyed very much.

I’m sure we’ll be back – I look forward to trying other selections on the menu.“

“Another Vietnamese Restaurant we've visited.
Located on the side street.
It was quiet and the staff were so polite and friendly.
Inside was very spacious and clean.
Food was great and freshly made. Good portion.
I love their chili garlic oil.
One thing concerns me is the parking space, good thing we parked on the other fastfood chain near by and we just walk few blocks away going on this place.

Overall was a good experience if you're craving for good food that makes your belly full and satisfied.

“Ordered on skipthedishes to a clients house at my very serious blue collar job. Me and crew chief ate in the car but ran into an issue - it was delivered without any cutlery or napkins. “This was some of the best Thai food we've had since leaving Thailand and we eat at Thai restaurants whenever we can, wherever we go. The food was flavorful, freshly prepared, and tasty. It was just the right amount spice. The Green Curry Chicken was rich and less soupy than many - a big improvement in taste and consistency. The vermicelli salad was very fresh with the perfect level of spice. Service was good and the simple but tasteful decor was inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

UPDATE*** There's a new owner at this location and they have honestly changed this place around. The food is delicious, the customer service is superb. I am truly impressed with the new staff and happy to come back here over and over again. Thank you!“

“Best restaurant I’ve been to in Gatineau. Food is super flavourful. Texture is great, rice was perfect, big portion size. Although it’s not spicy, next time I’ll ask for extra spice. Everybody gave us amazing service. The chef even came out to greet us during our meal.

“I love Thai food, and Thai Express is usually my go-to when a craving hits. I’ve tried almost all the locations in Gatineau, and as we all know, every place cooks a little differently. There are two Thai Express restaurants near me in Plateau, but I wasn’t too impressed with them.

Then I tried this location — and wow, it was so tasty! It’s about a 25-minute drive from my home, but I’m more than willing to make the trip because the food is that good.

My only complaint is the limited hours: it closes at 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and is closed on weekends (since it’s inside a government building).
