There were several pieces of meat, beef and chicken that were quite fatty gristle. The beef and broccoli lacked a good ginger kick.“

“This family run restaurant is a hidden gem. I have tried many Pad Thais and this restaurant has the best Pad Thai I have ever had. This restaurant is most accommodating in helping my son, who has gluten and soy sensitivities, find things he can eat. Located on the side street.
It was quiet and the staff were so polite and friendly.
Inside was very spacious and clean.
Food was great and freshly made. Good portion.
I love their chili garlic oil.
One thing concerns me is the parking space, good thing we parked on the other fastfood chain near by and we just walk few blocks away going on this place.

Overall was a good experience if you're craving for good food that makes your belly full and satisfied.

“This was some of the best Thai food we've had since leaving Thailand and we eat at Thai restaurants whenever we can, wherever we go. The food was flavorful, freshly prepared, and tasty. It was just the right amount spice. The Green Curry Chicken was rich and less soupy than many - a big improvement in taste and consistency. The vermicelli salad was very fresh with the perfect level of spice. Service was good and the simple but tasteful decor was inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Finally today, I decided to go back to Thai Express. I work just across the street and due to bad customer service from my previous experiences, I avoided the place. Today, I thought to give them another chance, and I thought to myself that I would just suck it up on the bad service. Well, I received burnt food for takeout. Customer service was finally improved because the regular girl cashier no longer worked there, but how could you possibly serve customers burnt food? You can smell it as you were cooking and you can see the blackness. There's a snow storm out so I didn't bother to go back, so I had to eat this terrible food I paid for. The franchisor of Thai Express really should be aware of this place, I have heard nothing but horrible things about them. And once again, they have proved everyone right.

“THE BEST FOOD IN CENTRETOWN!!“

“I love Thai food, and Thai Express is usually my go-to when a craving hits. I’ve tried almost all the locations in Gatineau, and as we all know, every place cooks a little differently. There are two Thai Express restaurants near me in Plateau, but I wasn’t too impressed with them.

Then I tried this location — and wow, it was so tasty! It’s about a 25-minute drive from my home, but I’m more than willing to make the trip because the food is that good.

My only complaint is the limited hours: it closes at 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and is closed on weekends (since it’s inside a government building).

I have been to many Thai express during the road trips across East Ontario and Quebec and I always expect the same taste for my Pad Thai. However, the tastes are all slightly different from restaurant to restaurant. This restaurants gives the taste that I expect and I believe this is what chain restaurants value the most.

Plus, the kitchen area and tables are always kept clean, staff is quite but very professional.“
