“My hubby and I went to celebrate his birthday. We have been seeing the daily specials for months and wanted to try but this past weekend when visiting my mom she told us the cream of mushroom soup was to die for and we knew we HAD to visit! We tried the calamari, we both agree it was the best we’ve ever had. It was small tender pieces, lightly battered w/ their seafood sauce and lemon! We also tried the crab rangoon with sweet Thai sauce. They were cheesy, crabby & wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper. It was a Thursday, so my husband had the surf & turf special. He said his steak was cooked exactly how he had asked. I tried a bite and it was so good. He had a beer with his meal from a local brewery. I had the halibut & chips. The batter wasn’t overly thick, the fish was!! I haven’t seen a thick piece of halibut like that in a long time. The fries were hot and crispy and the tartar sauce was on point. I brought 2 bowls of soup home, one for me & one for my bestie…10/10 for us!! We came up from Orillia and were confused by the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was nice to meet Alicia & Chef! They were both personable and great to chat with. We look forward to going back and know that if we’re craving fish & chips to make the trip! “Our dear mom is celebrating her 94th birthday this year and we had her birthday at the Cliffside Restaurant in the Cascade room. A table for twenty people. We were treated exceptionally with a special lunch menu just for us. The food was excellent and Chef Thomas provides amazing delicacies. The desserts were delicious but the most exceptional thing about our experience was the outstanding staff. Everyone was fantastic with helping me organize the event for my mom. When I arrived everything for her was in place. The staff was attentive and caring, kind and provided exceptional service in everyone. They came to the table singing happy birthday with the candles in three dessert platters and my mom was incredibly happy! The whole afternoon was just perfect in every way. It will always be a memorable birthday for our mom and the whole family. Thank you James May, Chef Thomas and all the staff at Muskoka Bay Cliffside Restaurant especially the lovely Avery who served us exceptionally well and always with a smile!! “I ordered steak, rice and vegetables for take-out. The food tasted great. The steak was done exactly how I asked. The staff are very friendly. The inside of the restaurant is pretty cool.

I'll be going back to dine in :)
