Ward 1 Brewing Co. Reviews
After reading all the great reviews we ordered through Uber Eats. Ribs were awful, I’ve never had ribs you had to rip the meat off the bone, very tough, even hard to cut between the bones with a knife. Brisket was just okay and very dry, but the burnt ends were good. Chicken is just meh, smothered in Bbq sauce, no flavor of its own. Corn bread looked great but was extremely dry even with the butter. Maybe it’s better there but we were quite disappointed.
You can’t go wrong with any of the food! The cocktails are unique and delicious as well.
We decided to try ward one for the first time today for Mother’s Day and we will for sure be returning.
Not only is the food to die for but the owner has a great appreciation for the best cars out there (Volvos).
It was an amazing experience and our 5 month old even got to try brisket for the first time there!
Highly recommend this place if you love good food, great drinks...read full review
did an amazing job with smoking over a 1000 pounds of meat for a Cargill event. 5 stars

Ward 1 Brewing Co. is a gem of a restaurant that specializes in top-notch smoked meats and BBQ. Their platters, featuring brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage, are a highlight, paired with delicious sides like coleslaw, sweet potato fries, beans, and mac and cheese. The brisket is particularly praised for being perfectly seasoned and smoky, while the pulled pork sandwich is noted for its juiciness and rich flavor. The fries are crispy, seasoned, and clearly made fresh, adding to the overall experience. The owners are kind and appreciate customer feedback, and the service is good, although it can be slow at times. The interior is contemporary and clean, making it a welcoming local spot. With a daily specials board and a maximum capacity of 40 occupants, the atmosphere feels cozy and inviting. While the brewing side is not yet available, the cold beer and great food make it worth a visit, especially for those traveling between Guelph and Fergus.
