“Fantastic! Owner definitely gets the vibe for a really cool area in the ward. This is a must go to. Honestly we got to try it out. It's fantastic. Wish there was a little bit more space for bigger events, but other than that for the small space it is amazing and the service is fabulous“
“You can’t go wrong with any of the food! The cocktails are unique and delicious as well. We decided to try ward one for the first time today for Mother’s Day and we will for sure be returning. Not only is the food to die for but the owner has a great appreciation for the best cars out there (Volvos). It was an amazing experience and our 5 month old even got to try brisket for the first time there! Highly recommend this place if you love good food, great drinks and an even better atmosphere. Thanks for having us Ward One!!!“

“We arrived for 5:15pm for our dinner reservation. It was our first time here. We were checked in very quickly. Our hostes was lovely and excited to hear we were there for the first time. Our server was Emily (I hope I got her name right). She was great at explaining the menu and giving recommendations. We really liked that she didn't rush us and made it a very comfortable experience. Appetizer we had the mushroom toast, it was a good portion for two people. Drinks, my husband has beer and I tried the Berries in Bloom and Quebec 37, I enjoyed the Quebec 37 more. For mains I had the potato thin crust pizza and my husband had braised beef cheeks. Both were good portions and delicious. For dessert we had chocolate torte, tasted good but was the smallest dessert we probably ever had at a restaurant. We wish the portion was bigger. After dinner we went to the bookstore next door and picked up some games.“

“A fantastic microbrewery right in the heart of downtown Guelph.
A wide selection of beers and beer types as well as seltzers. They also serve hard alcohol as well,. If that's your thing.
Tried eight different beers and they were all well balanced and brewer and came in a variety of styles.
The sours really stood out with one made with basil being the best of the bunch.
Food options are limited to small snack portions (you can mix and match) but they also allow local food delivery and you can just bring your own.
A calendar showed a variety of interesting events including trivia, and they had a good selection of board games to play.
Both staff members I met were knowledgeable and courteous. Ended up spending an hour talking pizza, board games, and Star Wars with a local which was a great way to spend some of my time in Guelph.“

“Are you kidding me right now? This place is everything you would think by the other reviews and EVEN MORE! Doug is a gem to say the least. Very talented bartender and business owner. Standing here is like spending time in his head. His creative mind is laid out in every detail in this bar. The walls, the ceilings, the bar, the menu etc. everywhere.
