Berkeley North offers a great dining experience with excellent service. The dumplings and carrots stood out, while some dishes felt heavy. The eggplant teriyaki was original and delicious, and the trout was well-cooked but oily. Customers appreciated the thoughtful gesture of a gifted dessert for a special occasion. The restaurant brings a creative, seasonal flair to downtown Hamilton, with a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere and a focus on local ingredients and visual presentation. The team is friendly and professional, making guests feel at home. The Mushroom Dumplings were a highlight, rich and savory with just enough chili oil kick, while the Tuna Crudo with citrus ponzu was light and refreshing. The Rainbow Trout was well-cooked, flavorful, and simply satisfying. Surprisingly good crispy fries added to the enjoyable experience. Overall, the restaurant is known for its tasty and unique dishes, as well as its welcoming atmosphere, and while not every dish hits the mark, there’s enough promise here to warrant a return.
