The place was very nice with a cosy vibe. We ordered the loaded queso as an appetizer and it was very delicious. The cheese was great but spicy which my wife loved. We ordered steak frites and The public house Montreal smoked meat with sides of French fries and tater tots. The steak frites was small which I expected but I ordered it as medium well and it came over done to be honest. The smoked meat was nice but nothing special. where does someone begin, but to say; what an all around attention to detail within the hospitality industry, from great service, amazing food and cozy atmosphere then pair that with a nice beverage. Then there is the history of the building which is the actual impact of the whole experience, a must on any diners list.

What a great find. The pub style food is terrific and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and although it was very busy, the service was prompt and very hospitable. Best, hottest cup of restaurant tea I’ve ever had. Will definitely return the next time we are in Kingston.
