Not bad atmosphere other than the strangely odd club music being played. Some Christmas reefs lined the windows to attract people walking on the street. Dimly lit and cozy but the music made it feel very weird, I think they’re trying to hard to still be a “cool” bar. Paper menus were being reused!! Which was gross, they were crumpled and had stains on them which indicated that they should be thrown out. I had to ask the server for hand sanitizer before I touched my drink....read full review
The place was very nice with a cosy vibe. We ordered the loaded queso as an appetizer and it was very delicious. The cheese was great but spicy which my wife loved. We ordered steak frites and The public house Montreal smoked meat with sides of French fries and tater tots. The steak frites was small which I expected but I ordered it as medium well and it came over done to be honest. The smoked meat was nice but nothing special. What a great find. The pub style food is terrific and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and although it was very busy, the service was prompt and very hospitable. Best, hottest cup of restaurant tea I’ve ever had. Will definitely return the next time we are in Kingston.
