“We stopped in for lunch while shopping.. I do like Bourbon Street Grill. I like the selection and everyone can get what they want. The noodles are always good. The food is good and it was quite busy so the food was fresh. It is a little bit more than it used to be but its comparable to others.“

“Good quality ramen. Many creative variations. I find the seats somewhat uncomfortable with no back support.“

“probably some of the best value food in the plaza $10 special for large portions. it’s americanized chinese food, it’s not necessarily “authentic” if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s a different type of cuisine. either way as a student this is a great deal“

“I came here with my partner on a cold, rainy evening after she picked me up from the GO station — and honestly, that might’ve been the highlight of our day!
In short, King Katsu is this little yet amazing, clean and comfortable eatery gem that serves Korean-influenced Japanese comfort food near downtown Kdubs. It has a very interesting selection of food, from ramen, katsu, to dwaeji-gukbap (pork bone soup) to different deopbaps. Prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.
My partner ordered the spicy vegetarian ramen, and a quick heads-up: it packs a punch! Start slow if you’re spice-sensitive. That said, the broth was deeply flavourful, and the tofu cubes were outstanding — tender yet perfectly structured, with a satisfying texture.
I went with the chicken katsu, and wow — the sauce was absolutely enchanting. Unlike the usual tangy-sweet donkatsu sauce, this one had a savoury depth that made it irresistible with rice. It felt familiar, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on the secret ingredient. The texture was a bit thinner than typical katsu sauce, but honestly, it didn’t matter — I would buy a jar of it if I could!
The side dishes — takoyaki, salad, miso soup, and Korean pickled radish — were all excellent. Every item we tried at King Katsu was comforting, satisfying, and full of heart.
If you’re looking for a meal that fills your belly while warming your soul and your heart, King Katsu is the place. Highly recommended.“
