We ordered fish and chips to take out.....No need to ever go to a Fish and Chip restaurant, when the Edelweiss produces this quality....difficult however to finnish the two peice....we will be customers again!
I had their homemade coleslaw and schnitzel sandwich. Best meal I've had in a long time! Topped it off with a fresh slice of coconut cream pie! Service was friendly and prices were good! Go check it out!
We went to the Edelweiss after not having been for many years as we had moved away. We went there for a concert and had dinner before. Edelweiss Tavern is a popular spot for a beer or a meal. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is inviting. The restaurant offers Bavarian and German-inspired dishes, with their schnitzel and sauerkraut standing out as favorites. Recently, visitors have praised the great service, with the staff going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The food is generally good, with the wonton nachos receiving special mention as awesome. The tavern has a modern twist while staying true to its roots, offering a good beer selection, including options like Erdinger, and a nice outdoor patio for dining. Although the cost may be on the higher side, the generous portions make it worth it. Edelweiss Tavern is a fun place to gather with friends, especially for those who enjoy live music and a friendly environment. The establishment is part of Kitchener's history and a great place to visit, though the patio could use some work.
