Thank you Vijay's for the wonderful anniversary takeout dinner! We were supposed to eat at the restaurant...but I told my husband we were going to do takeout because I didn't feel like going out. Truth is, I sprained my ankle coming off a ladder and didn't want to tell him. We had our first date at Vijay's and 12 years later...still happy. A nice authentic Indian Cuisine experience.We were greeted by a friendly waitress and sat down at a table for 2.The restaurant is quiet and would be a great place for a date.We had some vegetable samosas with homemade tamarind sauce. It was a sweet treat.The sauces are made to order so they are fresh and hot. The Naan bread was a great add-on to the meal.Overall it was a great experience with friendly staff. I will return again.Parking: Parking at the side of the building.

There's a reason Vijay's has been around so long. Simple, inexpensive, tasty food. Ordered take away dinner for 2. TONS of food with a very mild butter chicken and slightly spicy beef (asked for medium). Definitely cooked for Canadian palate. The samosas were very large and a bit greasy, but darn, that didn't stop me from eating and enjoying it.Vegetarian options: Typical Indian food offerings.Parking: Their own lot.
