Coleslaw tasted off a d The fries are often flaccid and soggy. Do not put the fish on top of the french fries so all the oil goes on them; and fry them a little crisper so they have integrity. The coleslaw is terrible with no taste or flavor; too fine . Last coleslaw we had was turning brown and the server that took the order on the phone was hardly apologetic.

We tried this restaurant in Lakefield based on a recommendation from some family friends while we were staying in the area last week. I ordered the special of the day the Dill Stack fried chicken sandwich it was delicious! I haven’t had anything quite like it before. (Picture from jacks instagram I ate it to fast to take my own ) My husband had the 2 piece halibut and enjoyed it just as much. We’re really glad we decided to stop in for dinner. It was a pleasant experience at Jack's, and we’ll definitely be coming back anytime we're in the area.

I ordered on line which gave them a half hour from the time they quoted it would be ready. We arrived and at 30 minute later mark I went into the place to find out where my husband was. Apparently the meals weren’t ready even though they contacted my cell and said it was ready for pick up. I spoke to a young waitress and told her that if it’s been sitting for three quarters of an hour by this time I don’t want it. She assured me that it was just being completed. Out comes my husband and we go across the road to eat it ( we were over the line of starvation). Out I pull the onion rings which are white. They were warmish and definitely not cooked through. Next was the toasted western sandwich. My sandwich had no peppers or ham at all. Just egg and a bit of onion. The egg was reheated to rubbery. The bread was soggy as in the whole thing had been sitting in the foil wrapper stewing. My husband had the same with the inclusion of a salad. The salad was the only part of the dinner you could call fit to eat. Normally this place has great food and I’ve reviewed it saying that but sending us out the door with meals that were 100% sitting there for 3/4 of an hour was horrible service. It was a waste of 45.00. My husband says that others that were seated were complaining how slow the service was. One guy said it was 30 minutes waiting on his bill so he could leave. I mean how hard is it to hand someone their bill? Personally I think they do it to keep the seat unavailable to those waiting to be seated. So what did we learn? That the place is unreliable and it’s hit and miss to the service and food lol. So best of luck. If you order on line and do take out , check your order before you head out the door and take it home.

Amazing place we stopped on the way back from the cottage! Large portions, great service, reasonable prices. As a vegan I had the Greek salad with no feta and fries and it was delicious. Everyone else said their food was wonderful too.

Wheelchair accessibility: A little cramped. Not exactly room to maneuver a wheelchair, or a stroller. I don't think tables are low enough for a wheelchair.
I always come here to go for lunch dates with friends or family. Very affordable, small town friendly service. Great food. I've only been to the lakefield location so can't speak for the others.

Two tables ordered after us and service before and all we ordered was clubhouse. We didn't get cheese on it and I had to get up and get my own ketchup before my fries got any colder. The light at are table was flashing and that is not good for an epileptic so I had to hurry eat and get out

I just had the most disgusting meal here. I ordered the hot chicken with baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was good. The baked potato was not cooked (couldn’t even stick my fork into it. I was told they had no more baked potatoes but could have mashed with gravy. Mashed potatoes were tasteless and lumpy swimming in watered down tasteless gravy. The actual hot chicken looked like dog food. It was pieces of chicken swimming in the tasteless gravy.
