Mr.Sub

Mr.Sub Sandwich Shop • $
38 Kent St W, Lindsay

“I haven't been to a Mr Sub in a very long time. I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for something different. Overall my experience was positive. The store was clean and there were plenty of staff on hand. The pricing isn't terrible and seems to be a bit less than other chain sandwich shops.

I ordered the smoked meat sandwich. Overall it wasn't bad but I don't think I would order it again. The portion size for the meat seemed fairly small. It was a bit off putting seeing them throw the meat in the microwave to heat it up.“

“Avoid eating here in future. Yesterday I ordered HALIBUT and chips and paid for HALIBUT ($18.99), but instead got a piece of COD (or HADDOCK), which are the cheaper cuts of fish on the market, coming out at around 60% the price of halibut at other places where they serve both. When I took it back, they insisted that they've given me halibut. There is a big difference in the texture between cod and halibut. The former is soft, mushy, more moist, and does not flake; the latter is firm and the flesh is drier and flakes like a "W". I was not in the mood to argue and left it at that. For the information of the dude who dismissed my complaint, I know my fishes, whether fresh water or deep sea, and have hooked all those mentioned, including halibut in my lifetime“
