Mexicactus Bar & Grill is an underrated gem with amazing food at reasonable prices. The portions are generous, and the tortilla soup is a massive and delicious hit. The food tasted great and was presented really well, showing the quality that keeps customers coming back. Despite being short-staffed, the hardworking team ensures top-notch service with a smile and good humor. The seafood enchiladas are fresh and packed with plenty of seafood, while the steak fajitas are hot and fresh. Customers also enjoy the good vegetarian options and the lively atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant is a local favorite, praised for friendly service, delicious Mexican cuisine, and lively ambiance. The Tecate Special and Mariachi band nights are particularly popular among regulars. The outdoor patio, especially on beautiful summer evenings, adds to the overall enjoyment. The sides are some of the best around, and the starter platter is highly recommended as one of the best starters. Located behind a railway junction and sandwiched between a tire shop and stone factory, the spot has a unique, cinematic feel. Overall, Mexicactus Bar & Grill offers a fun, lively atmosphere with delicious food and friendly service that keeps customers coming back. The prices of draft beer can be surprising, with a 20-ounce draft of Corona costing $12.50, so it's not the place for cheap beer. However, considering the quality and current economic conditions, the food remains reasonably priced.
