“Took my nephews here for some fries and the lady who owned the truck was so lovely. She went out of her way to invite the boys in to see how the fries were cut and made. They thought it was very cool! Fries were fresh hot and delicious as well!“

“We decided to order in from this place on Uber Eats. I only have one complaint.

Firstly, the fish was extremely oily which can be simply fixed with a paper towel below the fish but it’s still a bit disappointing.

The fish was still well-cooked and steaming hot when it arrived so it was still pretty okay.

Moreover, the chips are good but they’re unseasoned and we only received maybe 1 packet of tartar sauce which is way too little to split between two packs of fish and chips.

This is fine though since you can easily request more through the app.

We likely won’t order again but that’s simply due to the inconvenience of the location.

I wouldn’t deter anyone from going to this place considering it’s a classic fish and chips place and tastes like home.“

“Wow, this is the best. Fish & Chips I have ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of fish and chips. The fish was nice and light and flaky and the batter was absolutely perfect. Not that heavy coating that feels like you’re trying to go through a loaf of bread to get to the fish but a nice light batter cooked golden brown. I ordered two pieces of the halibut because I was really hungry and I’m so glad I did. I would’ve been disappointed if I’d only had one piece because it was so good. Fantastic french fries and onion rings. We also enjoyed the coleslaw, which was excellent as well. If you’re anywhere near Golden Fish & Chips, you’ll definitely wanna stop by.“

“The best fish & chips in town! Always fresh, hot and delicious! The portion sizes are great and the prices are very reasonable. The fish is perfectly battered and never greasy. They have great daily specials and family meal deals. The restaurant is always clean. If doing take away, it’s so easy to call ahead and they’ll have your order ready for your arrival. The owner is so kind and friendly. It’s such a lovely small business and it’s definitely one worth supporting!“

“Beautiful restaurant, delicious menu and a gorgeous atmosphere! Perfect place to have fun and meet up with friends, downtown Burlington. Upstairs there are some really great events: Yuck Yuck’s, Jazz Night, Psychic Medium Reading Events and more… Very fun! Highly recommend!!“

“I stopped by for the first time to chicken squared. The wings were made upon order and the best I have ever had! I tried it with the hot sauce and the honey garlic. I also had the chai which was the right level sweetness. The staff person, Karan, who took my order, was friendly and also checked in to see what I thought of the food. I was very impressed by the high level of service. Will definitely come back next time I am in Oakville to try the other items!! Wish this was in Vancouver“
