“So far, it's the best fish n chips I've found in Hamilton! Everything about this place is classic! From handcut fries to wrapping it up in newspaper for takeout. The staff is really friendly and service is fast (when they're not too busy at least). Definitely repeating!“

“Amazing fish n chips. Huge portion. Ordered the family package and it was more than we could eat. Tons of tartar sauce which in our family is a must. You can call ahead and order and pick up very fast. Service was good. Cash only!! I learned the hard way. $50 all in for family package. You choose the type of fish you prefer as well.“

“The experienced is good highly recommended..the food is not fishy and the fries was so good, the good deal on Tuesday and Wednesday is worth waiting for. The service is fast as it gets the food is hot and fresh, the only thing I noticed was its a little smokey inside but overall its one of the best fish and chips..coming back again for sure.“

“Had a 2 piece cod and chips meal with coleslaw.$18.95. Best fish and chips I have had in a while. Cod was crispy and not overly battered. Good size pieces as well. Too much for me but as the cod was thick it reheated in airfryer the next day beautifully. Now my favorite go to for fish and chips in Hamilton. I want to amend this to say there are new owners as of 2025 and they have changed the menus. This review was from previous owner.“

“Classic Halibut and Chips, fries are homecut style fleshy, tasty, perfect fish is good quanity a bit overdone as is usual with fish and chip places, but not so bad to degrade the experience. They dont do their own tartar but thats ok because I like the packet style. Non branded ketchup is a downside, but I see thats become the norm at takeout nowadays. Overall good experience would return.“

“So disappointed this last time I went to Hutch's. I ordered a large fish and chips and both pieces were barely the size of what one piece used to be. I always got a large because I would only ever eat one piece and bring the other home for lunch the next day but not anymore. Both pieced fit on the plate and were covered with fries you couldn't even see the fish and trust me there wasn't as many fries either. Definitely not worth 18 bucks anymore. not saying I won't go back but it won't be as often as I used to. I am going to start looking for another place to get my fish and chips.“

I've been having one of the worst days in my mental health history and this place made me smile.

I ordered two pieces of fish, that's it, that's all. I am absolutely thrilled at the surveying the presentation and the service that I received.

The staff was super friendly and kind. I'm coming back tomorrow to pick up lunch for my family!

Place was clean, true there is limited seating space, but we tend to prefer to eat at home anyway. Lots of walk-in specials lots of hot food out so you can come in and get what you like and leave.

Wish I knew about this place a whole lot sooner it's a very small and sweet place. Food tastes great, unlike the last few places we've gone to like this you could taste the deeper oil and the only thing you could taste with this is nice and clean.“
