Grotto Tea Lounge Reviews
They should make the photos of their menue true and actual to what they serve. I wanted to try their hot Formosa since it looked very appealing in the menue. When it came, I was shocked, everything about it was wrong, it looked so not appealing, it looked literally like mud. completely different than the picture in the menue, smelled and tasted not pleasant. After taking a couple of spoons, I felt sick in my stomach to the point I was going to through up.

Went during the buy one get one free black milk tea special and was our first time here.
Was served by a pale, Asian girl with a very stoic expression, who made our experience very displeasing.
First, she said, we had to get the special to go. Our friend went yesterday, who recommended this place to us in the first place, and she had it to stay. So the server already lied or gave my friend special treatment. But this wasn't the real issue.

Grotto Tea Lounge is a cozy cafe with a great atmosphere, good for studying, working, or chatting with friends. The interior offers cozy vibes and it is a great chill space, though seating is not that large and chairs are not super comfortable. It can get quite crowded and there is a two-hour seating limit.
The service is consistently great, friendly, and prompt. The cafe provides wifi and outlets, though the wifi has had issues. They sometimes give out free popcorn.
They offer a large range of unique tasting drinks, including milk tea, wintermelon drink, fresh fruit smoothies, and teas like Longon pot tea, Rose, Malt tea, and Taro Espresso affogato. Drinks are great, tasty, and at very reasonable prices. Popular items include the coconut espresso affogato and the Taro Espresso affogato, which have a unique Asian twist like jelly at the bottom. Toppings like signature savoury cream and lychee are available. Some desserts, like the Formosa dessert, can lack flavor and have an inconsistent texture.
