Came to attend a party and was hoping for a nicer experience than I had. The main dining room looked decent but we were in the party room. Our hosts did a lovely job with the decor but the room itself seemed run down with wall sconces that were flickering, a giant AC unit blowing air at people's head when walking by or taking pictures and chairs that were too big (but comfy). We were on a North Indian food tour while in Toronto for 2 full days this week. It was a lot of fun trying the excellent choices and options in the area. Tamarind was a lunch stop on Day 2. They have an interesting variety and fusion-ish concept. We tried a lot of appetizers, including paneer bao, paneer taco, kulcha chana, chili paneer, and manchurian. Amazing Indian food in the heart of Mississauga, Ontario. So many good things to say. Cuisine can be best described as Indian with some Asian flair. Tried too many dishes to list them all. A couple of highlights were the Gobi Chili (General Zso's Cauliflower), Chili chicken, butter chicken, Kulcha (Naan stuffed with sautéed onions), and the Indian crème brûlée. Food was amazing and the service was solid. One of the better Indian meals I have had in recent memory. Highly recommend!
