“On Saturday, August 1st. 2026 I led a group of 18 motorcycles & 19 people in total for a tour around Hay Bay & the Napanee area. I pre booked the elevated west room for our lunch stop Mr. Chips ( we have eaten here once a summer ride for several years now ). Never a disappointment! Terrific service from the young lady server who has cared for us many times before. I canvassed our folks after lunch & all agreed the menu & quality of food & service was exceptional. “We try to go the Waterfront River Pub at least once a summer. We had a good meal, at a table right by the river. Unfortunately, the wasps were REALLY bad; at one point, there were five of them buzzing around us as we were trying to eat. It really does detract from the experience. One year, they had wasp traps hung all around the patio... that would make a big difference. I am uncomfortable enough regarding insects that I would think twice about going, again. That is a shame, because we love the setting, and the food is good.
