“I will start with my observations only for hoping to improve this place that will ensure they continue to be in Barrhaven for a long time,, but hands down I will be going back to this place! 1- the sandwich ONLY contains the meat (next time I will take my slices of tomatoes, onions or lettuce with me lol) 2- my child have seen better chicken nuggets, while the fries were legendary 3- service was OK, but nobody smiled not even a smirk lol 4- the restaurant smelled like they could use a good ventilator. Now the part that will get me to always comeback: 1- THAT BEEF BRISKET is soooooo well cooked as if it was cooked for 100 hours. 2- THAT SAUCE is amazing, I ordered the spicy one, OMG I can still taste it in my mouth! 3- their bread is PERFECT 4- The mashed potatoes were flavourful…“

“We had Grill Master Express do the BBQ for Manotick's Picnic in the Park and all I can say is WOW! Do they know how to do it up right. Dealing with Roger is so easy and professional. Helped us out with great ideas and suggestions. On the day of our event, they were on time and set up with no hassle and were so nice to deal with. They served the people fast and efficiently. They are a Class A business and truly are great all around!“

“Went to Fatboys for the first time tonight and it won’t be our last. After waiting for a seat we were met by the owner who welcomed us and told us we would enjoy the food and he wasn’t wrong we had the Kentucky shared platter and it was definitely filling and the price was affordable. Our server was Emma who filled our drinks and told us what food was coming and what dips were available. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Will definitely be back“

“My wife and I traveled from Ghana to Ottawa for business, and we stumbled upon BBQ GOLDEN GRILLSTONE for dinner. The food was absolutely mouthwatering! We felt right at home, surrounded by flavors that transported us back to Ghana. The jollof rice was spot on - it tasted just like the authentic Ghanaian jollof we grew up with. What a great idea to bring a taste of Africa to Ottawa! The flavors were sweet and perfectly balanced. We'll definitely be back for more!“

“Outstanding smoked turkey dinner. We had this dinner (with mashed potatoes, carrots, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce) for 8 people. The best turkey I’ve ever had: tasty and moist. Lots of food. A large leftover take-home serving for each person. I’ll happily do this again.
Question: what size turkey do you prepare for your 8-10 serving meal? It was big! Thank you.“

“We’ve been longtime customers of Fumoir Smoque Shack and it’s always our go-to spot for family celebrations. We love their food—it’s consistently excellent, and my kids can’t get enough of it! The service is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for gatherings. We used to visit them at their Ottawa location, and we’re so happy they’ve moved to Gatineau. Whether it’s a birthday dinner or a family event, this is the place we always choose. Highly recommend!“

“We are a group who booked for the all you can eat buffet to celebrate a friend's birthday. The variety and quality of the dishes was amazing, good value. They even brought a plate of freshly made stuffed vine leaves to the table, still piping hot. (My only quibble: a few of the dishes were just warm/tepid/cool. Not easy to keep everything at the right temperature with a buffet.) There was something for everyone, whether you are a vegetarian or a meat or fish eater. My particular favourite: stuffed courgettes/zucchini - delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Convenient parking out front. We will be back.“

“We ordered the family platter for 4. Halal bbq beef ribs and pulled beef were great. It is a largely self service place with disposable dishes and plates but glad the utensils were of steel. Also liked the corn bread.“

“Originally tried to eat at the Baxter location but came here instead. Good choice.

Located within a plaza so there is plenty of free parking.

Atmosphere is nice and welcoming with clean tables and washrooms.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and can recommend choices.

Food itself is surprisingly good that offers massive discounts after 9PM. We decided to order almost the entire appetizer menu to sample everything.

Overall, I would recommend to friends and family and would come back.“

“Today, Feb6/2025 We.(4) went for a late lunch early supper, I ordered the Chinese food, the rice, the chow mein was awful, the ribs were at most ok, my husband had a Lasagna, he said the frozen one bought at grocery store are better and the garlic bread was a joke, a hot dog bun with a spot of garlic butter.... I sent my plate back and ordered a fry and BBQ gravy, the fry was ok and the gravy was flavored water, not thick like gravy, very disappointed! when came time to pay, I was charged 14.95$ for my plate, 7$ fry. I said to the waitress, I did not eat it, she was aware but the boss lady in back would only let her credit me 4$, so it cost 51.10$ for a terrible meal, will not be going back. Please don't waste your time going there“

“I have been going here for years. They are great. I usually get duck, char sui and crispy pork. Depending on the day, they will have other stuff. Some times I just get a whole bunch of stuff for me and my friends, other times I'll get a bunch of lunch boxes. A lunch box can have 1,2 or 3 meats - comes with huge amount of rice and Chinese greens.

“Flavours were fantastic and the service was warm and inviting (contrary to some reviews we read prior to going)and the only draw back was the place looks like it could use a little tlc. My family took me there for my birthday dinner (2A 2C under 6) and we walked in to a bouquet of mouthwatering smells and the courteous and friendly staff directed us to choose what ever table we wanted. The restaurant to be honest, looked like it needed a polish and the floor could use a good mopping. That was the ONLY negative to our experience there. After talking to the mgr who walked me through the menu and gave lots of great information and suggestions we placed our order. He was even kind enought to wish me a happy birthday and brought me a juice as a little something! Please understand that time relaxing and talking while waiting for the food is part of the African restaurant experience so don't be expecting toget it on your table in 5 min. If you want that go to McD's! When the food came (2 combo platters) it was beautifully plated (I wish I thought to take pics!) and with a bowl of delicious jolof rice. FYI Ghanian jolof is different in the flavour and "sauciness" and this Nigerian jolof was fantastic of its own right being light, fluffy, and with a beautiful smoky note. The chicken and goat were amazing! Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour I only wish we had ordered more! The beef was a little overcooked comparitively. I will say that there is a bit of heat to the dish (a tiny little bit too much for the kids even though they didn't stop eating! hahaha) The take out and delivery that was coming and going throughout our meal was nonstop which just goes to tell you how good the food is. Overall if you decide to check this place out you won't be dissapointed. The food, service, and friendliness of staff are amazing! We'll be back!“
