“My wife and I come to The Royal Oak, Centrepointe, regularly and have always enjoyed the food and service. It's one of our go-to places. In November 2023, we hosted a birthday party for myself, with about 30 guests. We had an excellent experience! We ordered party platters to serve the guests and the food was great. The service from Kayla was exceptional. She was very friendly and helpful, and she took great care of our guests. It really helped make the night special. Thanks Kayla!“

“Neighbourhood pub feel. Service is professional and high quality. A large variety of beer and scotch. A varied menu including pub fare, salads, entrees like salmon and fish & chips. “Regulars” make the place very friendly. Sports or major events are always on the large screen televisions. A regular “hang-out” for groups. Great pub to drop in for a drink, get take-out.Parking: Parking always available there or very nearby.“

“Went there three times. First two experiences were great. But the third one, not so much. The bartender lacked the basic social interaction (no how are you, no welcome to the royal oak, no how is your day etc) and cut me off after a single hour. Like does anyone want to go to a place that'll cut you off after three drinks?Kid-friendliness: Saw kids there“

“There for a quiz night - which apparently proved my friend and I are Dumb, but it was fun. Had the cauliflower steak - could have used a LOT more capers but still nice and the fantastique garlic bread with cheese- it wasn’t as fantastique as I was hoping, but still good. Either way, the Pump is always an enjoyable experience.“

“I went there with three friends on a Friday night for beer, convo and food. It was all good. I had the fish tacos which I really liked, had a pale ale, don’t remember the kind. Our server was good and came by several times to see if we needed anything. The price was great too - my friend picked up the tab. ha ha.“

“We had the turkey cranberry with delicious brie cheese. However, the cranberry mayonnaise was just regular mayonnaise. It could definitely use some improvement. The service was good, but a bit slow, as if there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant, which felt crowded, almost like we were all sitting in the same room together. The prices are affordable. The desserts were delicious, we recommend apple crisp and cheesecake.“

“Came here with a group of friends. Space is open and bright. It seems to be divided into pub and dining sections.The menu is simple but varied options and small plates available on request. ( slightly cheaper as well)Overall price is reasonable. Parking is easy to find on side streets over weekend.“

“This is our local Oak location. We really like the food and atmosphere here. I was at another RO location in the city a couple of days later, and none of it was near as good as the hunt club/uplands location.Kid-friendliness: The kids absolutely love the kids' fish and chips. They're 9 and 3, so finding a clear winner for both is a PitA.“
